When I want a plate of fries and fries clam strips on a nice warm summer day after a trip to the beach, I come to Costello’s. Nice, shaded place to eat outdoors without the lines

After considering trying Costello’s for many years, we finally visited. Overall, it was a little disappointing. The food was fine, but nothing special. We just expected more, similar to the level of Abbott’s.

The women taking the order was a little bit rude it was still early in the day and they were out of some of the seafood when food was ready the fried fish was burnt this was the first time the service and food was bad

The food was good. Not as good as places that cater more to locals than tourists but still better than what I can get back home. Staff behind the counter was friendly and attentive. The view from the terrace seating was beautiful. What was not good was the overflowing trash bins, the trash on the floor, and the litter around the marina. They really need to police the area better for litter and cycle the bins out more frequently. This is on the management for allowing such mess to be tolerated.

The food was good. It's in the rough. On the water overlooking a marina. Exactly what that should be.

What can you say about Costello's. Its right on the water overlooking the marina with spectacular views and atmosphere. Where else do you want go when your in the mood for fresh seafood but right to the coast. This is a very low key establishment you order from a window and they yell out your number when the food is ready. They offer all of your favorites lobster, fish, clams 10 different ways and a ton more. This is a BYOB place so feel free to pack up your cooler and bring it with you. There's a great cost savings with that to offset the cost of the food. Dont get me wrong it's not crazy expensive but still average plates are 25-35 bucks. The quality of food was outstanding as well as the portions as we all struggles to finish our meals. My main gripe was the food was cold. We ordered and waited to hear our number called, bear in mind we intentionally went at a non peak time 330pm to miss lunch and before dinner. We waited for our number to be called and never heard it and went to the pick up area and low and behold there was our food sitting there on the counter and the kids working there saw us staring and haphazardly said our numbers. We walked back to our seats with our food and our steamers were ice cold, delicious but ice cold. 20 bucks for cold steamers, booo. Unfortunately the rest of food was the same luke warm at best. I say this with the most honesty I can provide. Would I try it again 100% I would just watch them like a hawk while preparing to ensure it's hot.

People and their reviews can be funny. This is a clam shack manned by summer students located in a marina. It is exactly what you should expect. Fast, but average food, served by enthusiastic young people in a beautiful setting. Enjoy the view and the energy. Don’t expect fine dining. I love it. One note - take your time winding through the Village of Noank. It is lovely and not set up for impatient fast drivers. Enjoy summer!

This is the best seafood place in the mystic area for seafood. Huge portions and super fresh. Melted in my mouth. The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere and the views of marina, waterfront, and the region are beautiful. Might be my favorite seafood restaurant now that I've been there.

The lobster roll was so disappointing. The smallest portion of lobster I have ever received served on a hamburger bun, not hot, no butter. Served with a mini bag of potato chips. $27 for virtually no food, certainly not a meal. I never leave reviews and hate to leave a bad one… but I want to save others from the waste of money and disappointment lol

Once a year I try to hit New Englan for my favorite dish Fried Clams with Bellies. Unfortunately, Costello's did not meet my simple requirements. The clams seemed to be under-battered and not fried long enough. However the Warm Lobster Roll was fantastic, as was the cole slaw side. The sweet potato fries not great, so the best that I can give is 4 out of 5 stars for food. The service was good you have to order before entry and pick up the food on your own. The location at the Marina was great also.

Extremely disappointed with my order of steamers. Got a mouthful of black grit ...overcooked, several closed, dead and unedible. Will not return..
