The food is really good. The drinks are amazing. You feel welcome and they take care of you. All of the servers are amazing. Specially the one with the ponytail and there’s another one that’s just there he’s tall he has dark brown hair. He’s really good too. This place is amazing and basically if you want a family night out or just to have some drinks, this is a place to go. I ate all of my food. It was amazing.

I ordered a burrito for takeout and was overcharged by $5 because the restaurant claimed their menu was “outdated.” However, a quick check on Google Images shows that the menu was updated just last year. When I brought this up over the phone, the staff member didn’t seem to care that they were falsely advertising prices online.
Additionally, the burrito was supposed to come with “chips and red salsa,” but instead, I received only five chips and a small salad. This experience was disappointing on multiple levels. I won’t be returning, and I’d recommend taking your business elsewhere.

I was initially very excited to try MexSpot on Connecticut Avenue, as it seemed like a promising place for great Mexican food. Unfortunately, my experiences have been disappointing, largely due to repeated errors and poor customer service.
On two separate occasions, my orders were incorrect. When I ordered habanero wings, I received plain wings. When I ordered beef ribs, I was given pork ribs. Even when I requested no sour cream on my nachos, sour cream was added. Mistakes happen, and I consider myself patient and understanding, but the lack of care in fulfilling orders was frustrating.
What ultimately led to this two-star review was the attitude of one employee, a man with neck tattoos, whose name I do not know. When I picked up my order and politely confirmed that my requests had been followed (no sour cream, habanero wings), he assured me they were correct. Upon checking, I discovered they were not. When I kindly asked to return the incorrect items, he became visibly frustrated and dismissive, saying, “You know what, just take your money and go.”
While the woman at the counter was kind and offered to remake the food, this man not only shifted blame onto me for his misunderstanding but also completely dismissed my willingness to wait for a corrected order.
The food might have been great, but the consistent mistakes and lack of professionalism overshadowed the experience. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

Authentic Mexican food right on Connecticut Ave. Whomever mentioned the salsa as part of the starter being liquid gold ain't pulling your leg. That shit is delicious. I also had the birria tacos which were excellent, plenty of meat and the juices were perfect. I washed it all down with a fresh margarita made with squeezed limes, none of that bottled pre-mix. 10/10 will be coming back.
