“Ate here a few days ago! Everything was excellent! The Pomodoro Caprese Salad was good and the Veal Parmesan was excellent! Would definitely order it again! Raspberry Sorbet was amazing!!!! Staff is very friendly and wonderful! Definitely will eat here again! Great first time experience! ❤️❤️❤️“

“What a little gem hidden in a quaint area of CT. Purchased a Groupon and wasn't sure what to expect but were we surprised. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, we were approached immediately to be seated. Dining room had a warm feel with table linens and napkins. Server, Ashley provided excellent service and was very knowledgable with specials and questions we asked. The salad to start was perfect with enough dressing but not overdone, enough Gorgonzola for flavor not excessive and the display of vegetables was impressive. The pasta dishes were exceptional with their home made freshness and the sauce was delicious with much flavor. The menu has many options for your liking and descriptive to make ordering easier. The dessert menu had many options all which looked delicious as we noticed most tables were indulging, so we did too with the gelato. We will return with friends and family. Please try this place, you will not be disappointed and I dine at many restaurants.“

“The only issue with this restaurant is the availability of parking. Yep, I had to walk 1/2 a mile. But that is a small price for this outstanding dining experience. From creative cocktails to wonderful warm house made bread and an entree menu that is ever evolving. Don't miss dessert because you are in for a real treat. This may be Connecticut's best restaurant. Enjoy walking the village of Chester. It is a classic New England storybook village.“

“Our family loves going to celebrate after games, report cards, etc and our son usually picks The Plum Tomato, East Lyme. Great pizza by the slice - old school pizza shop with limited dine-in seating.

“SO SO SO SO GOOD. We couldn’t decide so we got 3- a margherita, a classic and a mashed potato. The sauce is incredibly, and every pie was perfectly balanced with ingredients and an insane crust that was both chewy and crunchy. 🤌🏻 perfecto!“

“We had a two delicious meals. The duck was crisp and not fatty. I had the special with roasted potatoes and spiraled veggies with a delicious sauce. My husband thought his paella was very good. This new restaurant’s staff and owners try very hard to please their customers. We will definitely be back!“

“Charlies Place Restaurant is a decent family style restaurant (with associated bar lounge) with an extensive menu and lots of weekend specials. We were here for dinner, and had the greek dinner special + the prime rib special. Both had generous portions, tasted good, and were served promptly on a busy weekday evening. A good choice if interested in a traditional family restaurant.“

“After 48 years of making pizzas and all foods they have not skipped at beat always consistently great taste and plenty more years to go. It's a charming place with a nice patio friendly wait staff who are attentive and hard working. We never had a sour experience making this place a regular spot for a relaxing meal with plenty of choices
Along with pizzas their fish'nchips are one of my favorites with enough for another snack at home. The restaurant is clean the atmosphere is family orientated as the lady owner greets everyone as her family of friends with kind words of welcome back.It's a treat to look forward to the next visit.“

“That was tasty! We got the vegetable and chicken platter, side of meatballs, and eggplant parm entree and the portions were big and easily shareable. Loved the tomato sauce! The prices were very fair and the bread was fresh that came with the meal. Food came out fast, hot and fresh. Thank you for providing crayons and paper for our toddler!“
“First generation Italian here. Used to Mom's cooking, off the boat from Italy. Pastavita has great variety, good Italian selection. Tried their meatball stromboli. So drowned in salt that the overall taste completely ruined, cut back on the salt and might be ok“

“Stayed here for a family vacation the amenities were amazing they have a Starbucks inside of the spa and the spa itself was a treat to be there for it was a very relaxing place to spend a vacation I would recommend it to all my friends and family“
