“I recently tried the Italian Combo at Golden Pizza Restaurant and it absolutely delivered. The sandwich was loaded with fresh deli meats, perfectly sliced cheese, crisp lettuce, and ripe tomatoes, all brought together with just the right amount of oil and seasoning. Every bite had great flavor and balance.

What really stood out was the size. This thing was huge and easily one of the most filling sandwiches I’ve had in a while. You definitely get your money’s worth.

“I'm in the top 5% of pizza restaurant reviewers on Google and I dont give out 5 stars easily. I have been to Fireside Brick Oven a handful of times over the years. The food was always good , but it used to take a LONG time to get our food, especially with a large party. They revamped since I was in there last. The place looks cleaner and the layout improved. Somehow, the food also improved, which is saying something because it was always great. The service and the time it took to get our food (party of 20) also drastically improved. I always knew this place had potential, and I'm so glad they figured it out.

There are some contenders in Eastern, CT, but right now I think Fireside might be king. 👑

“This is a hidden gem! We're back in Connecticut after many years and were looking for some authentic regional pizza and came upon Asylum Street Pizza. We were greeted immediately and the staff had definitive answers to our questions. We asked for a recommendation and were served with a straight-from-the-oven delicious "the works" pizza. “I love Vocatura’s . The hard grinder rolls are the best for grinders. Very good deli meats and cheeses and prices are very good. Amy’s mom makes the best carrot cake. And brownies & big choc chip cookies are yummy. A full range of Italian cookies you can buy by the pound. & other assorted pastries like apple turnovers and eclairs- all very good, spinach pie etc
They offer breakfast sandwiches too and make great pizzas. We’ve been going here for years“

“I like everything I have ever ordered from there except the pizza. it's dry, the toppings and cheese separate from the sauce so it's a congealed cheese hunk with dry toppings stuck in it. the crust is too brown and there's no flavor. just bland, tasteless, dry, awful pizza. I've had the taco pizza lol what a joke that was and steak with sausage, dry and a waste of my money. their onion rings are very good, they used to be more fried and less crumbly coating. generosity has dwindled, too. cheeseburger grinder w bacon is good but I don't appreciate the warm lettuce, they don't take modifications or whatever you call that on doordash site ordering occum pizza. owner boy is clueless. I'll still order from here.
