“Nice place in the growing Putnam downtown. Inside an old railway station, it's decorated with local railroad signs and such. The help staff is great and well attended. They were at our table even with the waitress going on break another came with our main entree. Both were nice and brought us extra napkins and checked in periodically. We had Short Rib Poutain for an appetizer. It was very cheesy and had a good portion of pork and gravy. My wife and I both had fish and chips. The chips here are homemade potato chips and there is so many we left some. Very filling. Third time in five years and gets better.“
“Was very lucky to even get a seat here , very crowded,definitely got the local vibe , people were very friendly, food was good and honestly for 4 drinks +6 shots + a meal and an appetizer the bill was very reasonable.( I had a friend with me that wasn't all for me ) I'll definitely go back , the staff were also very friendly. Live band as well .“
“Everything was great. My only disappointment is that the macaroni salad in the salad bar has been changed to a different brand. This happened in the past 6 or 8 months. (I was really partial to the original.) The potato salad was more undercooked than usual. The 2 kinds of soup were superb, per usual. ??Wheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible to the bar, salad bar, restrooms, and one dining room. The larger dining room, that's only open when busy enough to warrant it, has a few stairs.“
“My kids LOVE this restaurant! The service is excellent and the food is very good. The kids love how they bring out popcorn for the table to start you off. We always have a fun time when we come here, and the whole family can have a sit-down meal without breaking the bank. I don't love all the tvs playing sports, but I'm sure many other patrons enjoy it, and it is easy enough to ignore. Great spot for dinner or lunch!“
“We went to the Hare & the Hound for my grandmothers birthday dinner today and had a wonderful experience. From the start the staff was accommodating as we had a young baby with us. Courtney explained the menu and was kind and attentive. Our appetizers were great and the drinks were amazing. They had a new drink specials menu and they were awesome. I was surprised and how many meals could be made vegetarian as well. They also had a large specials menu. The entrees were great as were the homemade chips and fries. The in house baker is a plus as the deserts are great. Courtney and the trainee went above and beyond and even brought out a small desert with a candle for my grandmother which was very sweet. We will be back!“
