“We've been going here sporadically for years now and this place never fails! Food is always delicious, service is consistently amazing and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. My husband's favorite dish is the buffalo chicken tenders. I do enjoy the fried chicken dinner...such a classic! JP's is definitely a hidden gem for sure - if you have the opportunity to go there or order take out, I highly recommend it!Dietary restrictions: They take my (and others) allergies seriously.Parking: Plenty of spots. Big plaza.Kid-friendliness: Kids will definitely enjoy snacking on the popcorn and find something yummy to eatWheelchair accessibility: Ground level.“
“Growing up in Westboro, I was a frequent flyer of WHOP. I moved away 12 years ago, everytime I wouldd visit I wanted to stop and get a house special but everyone said it was terrible now.Last night we ordered two cheese and a house special. And it brought me right back to before. We will be back again“
“A nice little hidden gem off the beaten path in an upcoming Marlboro restaurant scene. Located down what seemed like a side alley, this two room dining place had a bar on one side and tables on the other. We sat in the bar area and you could see by all the patches they were law enforcement friendly. They had a nice selection of mixed drinks, but a small selection of beers. Our server was a nice down to earth older guy who was very patient with my wife's questions, lol. I had the Ultimate Chicken sandwich. It was definitely a hand breaded half a chicken breast with a really tasty sauce, and had nice hand cut fries. Wife ordered a bacon cheeseburger with a side salad. She ordered rare, and surprisingly it was perfectly done. The mound of bacon on top was more than I have ever seen“
“We just had dinner here. We love Indian food, but since moving to Oxford have yet to find any nearby. This is 25 min from us and absolutely delicious! I got the chicken bhuna and my husband got the lamb korma. We also got the aloo chat and garlic and plain naan. So so glad we found it. This will be our new spot for sure. My four year old is picky but she ate a basket of naan and mango lassi and they also have chicken fingers and other standard American bar food.“
“My wife and I had dinner last Friday. We both ordered fish and chips. The last visit we had chicken parm. The food is always good. The prices are surprisingly low. The daily specials are a really great value. Tried the fried eggplant sticks and they were awesome. This is a neighborhood restaurant with a large bar on one side and a family restaurant on the other side. Something for everyone.“
“Local bar, cheers type atmosphere where townies can come to get strong drinks, good quick food, and fast service. Make sure to bring cash though, they don't take cards!Parking: Large parking lot with plenty of parking, handicap spots availableKid-friendliness: I've brought my kids there for over 15 years, it's more of a bar atmosphere but families frequently come here specially for a quick dinner.Wheelchair accessibility: It's on the first floor with ramps to get in, tight hallway on the side entrance though so I recommend going through the front door“
“Amazing!!!!! Place was recommended to us by a friend. Stopped in had a couple drinks and ordered their fried clams. They were absolutely delicious. I'm talking better than any local place in the area! Would definitely recommend this. If you're looking for fried clams this is the place to go. Oops, forgot to mention Chris the bartender. Very sweet inattentive. This is definitely the place“
“This place was great! I took a pic of the food but now it's gone! The chicken tenders are fantastic and the max and cheese bites were Devine! For sure bar food but still, some places over cook the food leaving it mushy or chewy! We all loved it. The music was great! I'd come back when I'm in town!“
“I went on 2/9/24 with my wife and another couple. We split mussels two different ways (saffron cream sauce and white wine sauce) as appetizers. Large portions and delicious. For entrees we ordered cold smoked grilled pork chop, grilled salmon, seared scallops and prime rib. All in good portions and well matched with delicious sides. For dessert we had flourless chocolate cake and cheesecake with goat cheese and berries in a mason jar. The chocolate cake was great and the cheesecake was ambitious and interesting but a little too much goat cheese for us. The service was attentive, prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxed dining experience. This is seriously great dining in Marlborough.“
“Our first visit. Fish and chips and a patty melt. But first, buffalo chicken tenders for an appetizer. Fresh. Not burnt or dry. The blue cheese came in a container, would have preferred a user friendly way to get it open, but that's ok. Extensive menu made for tough decisions. But there's always next time, right? Our waitress was very diligent in getting more napkins, water. Dinner came soon after, so close to perfection! Took home my other half of my patty melt. The decor has a theme of a post office so, made sense naming the restaurant. We will return to try the other offerings on the menu.“
“First time coming here with my family and was skeptical since it was dark inside and zero windows to be found, (typical bar). My waiter seated us immediately and was extremely attentive. The food was very good and the attention to detail is amazing for a pub. For example, we ordered a wedge salad which came in a chilled plate (detail 1), the lettuce was cold (detail 2) with dressing and real bacon bits (detail 3). I ordered the Chicken McShaunessey which was fried chicken that was lightly breaded and came in a brioche bun with a special dressing, very tasty. We would come back here again if we were in the area.“
“Good ol fashion dive, an endangered species in this area. Where every single "bar" in the area charges you $15 for a cocktail and cut you off after three drinks, this place really deserves its title. Drinks, TV, pool tables, dartboard, peanuts and popcorn.“
“This place is better than it seems like it should be, if that makes sense. The first time we went it was a Monday night and our son was turning 21 at midnight and nothing else was open. Walking in at just after 11:30 to a group of somewhat rough looking regulars might have turned us around, but again, nothing else open. We told the bartender why we were there and to make sure he'd be OK serving him (MA has weird laws sometimes) and was assured no problem. At midnight, he had shots lined up for us, did a countdown, and then the whole bar (10 people maybe?) sang Happy Birthday. At one point the owner, hearing it was someone's birthday, came out with a cupcake and a birthday seat cover. How incredibly nice for non-regular randoms who came in late on a Monday night. A great reminder not to judge a book by its cover. In this case, both the bar and the patrons. We stayed until closing to play games and talk to some of the folks at the bar. It was a great experience. We've been back since to and every experience has been great. We played some darts and enjoyed some mixed drinks just last night and found, again, great bartenders and patrons. If you remember you're going to a dive bar, where every now and again the regular is going to get served before you and the food is "good enough", you'll have a great time. The most important part, the drinks, are always A+.“
“Decent food at decent prices. We did have a larger party. However, the service dropped food from two of the plates served. The food was above average for a chain but nothing too special. They were able to accommodate a larger party of 12 on fairly short notice and we appreciated that.“
“All I can say is wow!!! We stopped for the first time today after driving past so many times, and it was absolutely delicious. We ordered the nachos, a burger and a wrap, as well as tenders and fries for our kid. We weren't expecting to discover some of the best pub fare/american food we've ever had right in our backyard. The burger was so delicious and flavorful. toppings were spot on, bread fresh and soft. And the onion rings!!! No exaggeration, some of the best onion rings I've ever tasted. The nachos were enormous and came with all the fixings, so so good. We were well taken care of, and you can see the locals stopping by for a beer and a chat. Loved everything about the Rose Garden, and we'll certainly be back, it's been a while since I've truly enjoyed the food I've been served and the service I've received in a restaurant.“
“Had the spicy chicken & vegetables & egg soup. The soup was sweet & spicy perfect blend of spices. Thoroughly enjoyed. Friend had chicken pot pie with the flakiest crust with loads of chicken. School vacation week so a bit noisier & busier but we enjoyed our meal.“
“Had a really great experience at Finnegans last night. Got the large lobster roll and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend. Cool atmosphere with pool tables and juke box. To top it off they had a great bourbon selection. Look forward to going back “
“Really like 99s cause I have a daughter and they always cater good to kids. Steak is surprisingly great. My daughter really loves the popcorn. Usually going at Friday and it's not so busy. Everything comes out quick and exactly as ordered. My only complaint is the lack of menu items.“
“Hudson sat at the bar bartender was young but fantastic. Made me feel at home. I've been back since the bartender name is Dan. Honestly, the only reason we came back brought my friends kid made us all laugh lots of fun. We will return.“
“I wanted the prime rib on Thursday but unfortunately it’s a Friday thing. The ribeye was absolutely fantastic. I always tell people I only like my steaks and they blew me away with theirs still. My wife had gotten their turkey soup which I tasted. It was homemade you can definitely tell. Hearing the local chatter at this bar made me feel like I was watching Cheers. I love this place.“
