Not that many , non-franchise, coffee spots in the quiet corner of Connecticut and so this stands out for that but also their great lattes and dessert options. Haven't had a bad drink there yet and the ambience is great.
Super cute spot in downtown Putnam. While passing through we needed a coffee break, and were happy to find Saw Dust Cafe! Wonderful interior which serves all sorts of coffee drinks and also has a full bar with plenty of options. Also saw a sign that listed they have live music on weekends. The cold brew hit the spot and would definitely check it out again!

Another strange named but excellent eatery in Putnam. When I saw the sign for saw dust coffee I thought of some sloppy carpenter getting saw dust in my coffee or possibly a way to describe coffee with cream, maybe. Well I walked into this place to find a clean, well organized and thought out coffee place with somewhat of a woodworker theme serving great coffee, mixed drinks, pastries and, much to my surprise, a full bar.
