“It's always a pleasure stopping by to get my spinach patties every week. Today Shernette took my order over the phone while Arline prepared it and ensured that I didn't have to wait long upon arriving.
Kree does the baking and is always willing to put some extra spinach patties in the oven when they are running low.
Ms. Yvonne and AnnMarie are very pleasant and polite.
The staff at Golden Krust really do make me feel like they care.“

“The food was awesome 🤩 1 thing I want to say first is that I’m so happy that they have a Jamaican/ West Indian Restaurant here in West Hartford I no longer have to drive to Hartford to buy Jamaican food. I ordered a large oxtail with rice & peas and veggies. The meat was tender and juicy with lots of gravy on top and some on the rice, the rice was moist not hard at all and the veggies were steamed not soggy with a bit light crunch on them. The Restaurant is family oriented you can definitely eat in and have lunch or dinner with your family and friends and enjoy a great meal. I will definitely be back and also recommend this place to everyone at work.“

“Carl’s has great food, wonderful staff and the portions are large and in charge. Beverage offerings are great and fresh desserts are available daily. If you ask, you’ll be steered toward the day’s highlights, and you won’t be disappointed. Requests are accommodated and honored. We’ve been going here for about a generation, and Carl can’t be beat for jerk and bbq.“

“The food Is pretty good. The service isn't bad. It's just a bit unorganized and quite slow. They only accept cash, but they do have a ATM area. You can differently have a conversation and talk.It's in a church cafeteria. I would encourage. Trying to at least once. The turkey wings are my favorite from this location.“

“Unassuming takeout only West Indian Restaurant. I have been a few times and the food is always excellent! I love the Jerk Chicken, peas and rice with Oxtail Gravy and Stewed Cabbage. Just the right amount of heat and the smoky flavor of the chicken is perfect! The cabbage is sweeter than I am used to, but I enjoyed it. It helped cut the heat. Parking can be difficult when it's busy, but so worth it!!!“

“I ordered yellow rice N beans, potato ball, mango drink, guava dessert and some another dessert. The food is absolutely AMAZING!!! The potato ball was on point! Best I've ever had from anywhere. The drink was made perfecto! The rest of the food was cooked to a T..I go here often but today i bought more options and I'm glad I did. Kudos to y'all!!!! I'll always come back for my lunch and dinner “

“I was disappointed because the servings of food are not consistent, one server makes sure to ask what you need and the food is good but the next server the following week really disappoint the rice was swimming in gravy it was so bad that it looked like dog food and I guess she didn't care about great service because the oxtails had 6 of the smallest pieces of oxtails that I have seen; this was so disappointing it felt like I had begged for some food. WOW“

“I feel like any negative reviews must be coming from some false competition, this place is great! Had the curry goat today and it was perfect, flavorful, and plentiful. Doesn't hurt that the place is also clean and the staff are really nice. Definitely recommend“

“This was my second visit to The Dutch Pot Restaurant in Miami Gardens Fort Lauderdale, and it won’t be my last! The true gem of this place is the staff. From the moment I walked in, I noticed the genuine, friendly interaction between the staff and customers – no impatience or condescension, just warm and welcoming service. It’s rare to find such a personable atmosphere! The food was, as always, incredible. I had the curried goat, which was perfectly spiced and tender, and the oxtail was rich and flavorful. Both dishes were spot-on! To top it off, we were given a tour of the newly opened, exclusive upstairs dining area (pictures to come!), which looks fantastic. Kudos to the owners for continuously elevating the dining experience here. Overall, this is a fantastic business that deserves to be replicated – amazing food, a welcoming team, and a beautifully designed space. Highly recommend The Dutch Pot to anyone looking for a great meal and even better service!“
