Efficient friendly service. The gentlemen scooping ice cream was super friendly and one his stuff. It's my serving time there and I'll be going back

Great selection, including some unique flavors. It's a bit pricy but you get what you pay for. Everything is home made and the quality is top notch. Well worth treating yourself once in a while.

I was told to go by a friend who used to live in the area. Overall experience was meh. The ice cream was good, and standard. Good variety of flavors. Don't rely on the online menu or the menu board outside. Prices and items are not accurate as of July 2025.

Brought my baby here for a treat. So happy they had gluten-free cones! I got him the Non-Dairy Peach ice cream but they also had Peach Gelato available at this time. We paid about $5 for the kid's scoop.

Used to live near the original location by the shoreline so it was a treat to have this option in my new neck of the woods in rocky hill.

Huge fan of their butter crunch which wasn't in stock when I went but the blueberry cheesecake was more than sufficient as a replacement for my long time favorite.
Easily drop $25 when I go for a large cone and a quart to take home for the week.

$8.53 (w/ tax) for a small sundae? Maybe 2 scoops of ice cream and less hot fudge than a McDonald's sundae? Never again. Tasted average, no more no less

Visited on a Sunday afternoon there were only 3 other families there but it also was a bit chilly. Parking was convenient. Their outdoor set up looks fun for a warm summer day. Only 2 tables inside one 4 seater and a longer one that accommodates 6-8.

Our ice cream server was nice. He offered tasting a few flavors since it was our first time and even had some suggestions based on his top flavors.

The missing star comes for price and taste. They were out of whipped cream and hot fudge which I only found out when I was ordering the sundae - that’s out of everyone’s control but when I asked if I could substitute another topping for the whipped cream was told that wasn’t possible. So I ordered just ice cream and walnuts which were a whopping $1.60. At that price I’d expect they size up the cup so you can get a decent amount of topping but that wasn’t the case I got 8 walnuts at best. Also my strawberry cheesecake ice cream was freezer burned. The black cherry chip was absolutely delicious though.

I’d definitely give this a try again. I’m assuming the inventory issues stemmed from the unexpected warm days. And I won’t get any toppings at that premium which should be fine as they have plenty of flavors that already have good add-ins so I’ll maximize on those next time.

If you’re on the hunt for the best ice cream and top-notch service, this shop is a must-visit! The flavor selection is incredible, with everything from timeless classics like vanilla and chocolate to creative options that change with the seasons. Each scoop is creamy, full of flavor, and crafted to perfection. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the friendly staff—they make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. Whether you need a recommendation or just a little extra topping, they’re always happy to help with a smile. It’s the perfect spot for a sweet treat and a dose of great service!

My only wish was that they had cold drinks even if it was just a bottled of water. Ice cream was great.

Everything and everyone is 99% good. Thus, thanks very much for that (an extra big thanks to the hard working employees ?). The 1% that isn't good? The fact that you charge $1 for NON-HOMEMADE WHIPPED CREAM. There's no way that can make sense to me because I could go to the store and get *an entire can* of "Cabot" (the brand that you use) for *$4* (just $3 more than the $1 you charge for A BIT/a few swirls of whipped cream). I'm not coming here for canned whipped cream nor am I okay with paying extra for it. PS - I have emailed about this issue, several times, but I've not recieved a response. PPS - Also as I've said in the emails, "Praline's" (and all other ice cream shops there since 2003) either charged a little (less than a dollar) for their HOMEMADE whipped cream OR they didn't charge at all).

[2003 = that's how long I've been living here/visiting this establishment as a frequent customer...many times a week in the summer...and a few times a week in the other seasons]
