“When I discovered Roxbury Market in the eighties, it soon became one of my favorite destinations. I lived in Bethel, but I’d drive up to Roxbury several times a week for sandwiches. It was remodeled sometime in the nineties, and the small back room had tables to enjoy meals with friends. We’d meet there by Jeep, motorcycle, or whatever and sit for an hour sharing a great sandwich, coffee and soft drinks. I moved to Florida in 2004 and miss the Marketplace. But we manage to visit at least once a year when we come back to Roxbury in autumn.”

“My husband and I tried Bora Restaurant for the first time last night. It was excellent!! The food was delicious, the decorations were beautiful, the atmosphere was warm and cozy, all of the staff that we encountered were young but surprisingly all so very well mannered, polite and very nice!! Our waiter was Alton, he did a wonderful job and always addressed my husband as Sir. We would definitely recommend this restaurant!!”

“This was such an adorable place. It felt like a local spot found in the Hallmark movies. Recently had brunch with my daughter at The Sandy Hook Café. It was an absolute delight from start to finish. Nestled in the heart of Sandy Hook, CT this cafe exudes a cozy yet vibrant charm, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing brunch. We chose the booth by the front window box that was sweetly decorated for the holiday. There were couple other booths, a high-top table, and several two/four-top tables. Tiny space but a gigantic, interesting menu. Good for takeout as well. There is a small outdoor seating area overlooking the river. We were greeted by Ralph, the owner/chef. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. He proudly described all of the interesting specials (his own creations) and it was difficult to decide as they all sounded simply wonderful. We went with the blackened eggs benedict with salmon special, and the breakfast burrito. All fresh ingredients, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. It’s an inviting space where you can linger over your meal without a care in the world. Sandy Hook Café is a hidden gem that’s worth every penny. I will definitely be becoming a regular.”

“Absolute BEST Lebanese restaurant I’ve ever been to! Authentic dishes. Sooooo incredibly flavorful! You feel like a part of the family once you walk through those doors - make sure to taste the lamb special (my all time favorite!!) - it’s the owner’s grandma’s recipe and OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! (I don’t even like lamb but THIS dish is ABSURDLY delicious!!!) pay special attention to the huge pink pen at the register - haha my company pen!!”

“Really Authentic Italian food just like Mama Gualtieri used to make back in Jersey! The Gravy was fresh and just perfection along with the macaroni similar to what Artie Bucco served at Vesuvio's where the gang would hang out. It's a pride thing. All their food: pizza, calzone, buffalo moozarell', olive oil. These boys know the routine. Oof, Madon'! I'll be back!”

“It is always a pleasure dining there. Bill keeps the menu updated and even dishes I've had previously have had a new twist added that has improved them. I've always enjoyed the pork chop but the new recipe was even better. I goes without saying that the wine selection is the finest but so is the updated beer selection. The ever attentive staff are always noticing if anything is needed with being obtrusive and know both the menu and the wine list very well. This is the one restaurants that we always recommend without hesitation when dining in the area.”

“My husband and I got a custom order that consisted of a dozen mini croissants and a dozen lemon madelines for a brunch. Everything was delicious! No croissants were left untouched and we got so many compliments. We happily spread the word of where they were from. Great customer service, too. Highly recommend!”

Ordered nachos and my husband ordered a combo platter. I thought it was pretty good! Still not as good as Mexican food in the Bronx, but we'll definitely order from them again.”

“To reviewer tmG9470YS - I think you have reviewed the wrong bakery. Our bakery is spotless, all our baked goods are baked fresh and we don't even use the dumpsters (we dont want to attract bears). So I don't know where you went and a found a dirty bakery and found box mixes in the dumpsters it was not Southbury Baking Company. It must have been another local bakery.
