I had a very long, very exhausting work day this past Saturday and didn't feel like making my own dinner so I wanted to stop somewhere for something that was cheap and delicious. I don't know if you've seen the price of fast food lately but that wasn't an option, so I called ahead and placed an order with Sweet Rice. The fried pork dumplings were the best I've ever had and I'll definitely be eating here again.
Though the place looked kind of shady and there are no dining in options, the food was quite tasty. Had the general tso's chicken, it was okay. Salem is a small town, no harm in getting a quick lunch to go from here.

(Warning: The eat in area/tables are dirty, sticky and horrible! Cleaning them will not help.). This really is a 100% takeout place. If we start there then the food is surprisingly good. Everything had good flavor, was hot and had a good quantity of chicken and shrimp. They do a very good takeout business because I think the locals know about the place. If I were the owners I'd get rid of the pictures in the takeout pickup area and give it a coat of paint.
