“If you’re looking for an adorable step outside of fast food coffee this is THE GEM OF ALL GEMS! Wicked Southern Coffee always has rotating specials to help you try something new! (Non caffeinated/coffee free options too!) Since I am more adventurous than my fiancé we always get the best of both worlds. If you don’t see something that matches your flavor palette the owner keeps a vault of specialty flavors and recipes that will most definitely wow you. If you happen to stop by during slower periods make sure you chat with the owner how Wicked Southern Coffee got started! Talk about an inspiring story. We could not be MORE impressed.”
“always great choices -- have only ever had ice creams so can't comment on yogurts. be patient in line, it's a popular place, sometimes you wait. cash only.”
“Good places for slices with a good variety. Ask that they leave them in a little longer than usual. 8.1 for fresh pies. Great crust. Small place so takeout for the most part. 2 small tables.”
“Great local craft beer selection. Very good Chicago style deep dish pizza. We had the Ceasar salad and a small 2 Brothers Special pizza. The salad had fresh crisp romaine lettuce and tangy ramono cheese, but the Ceasar dressing was a little sour for my taste. The pizza was piled high with toppings, and the crust was crispy ?”
“(Warning: The eat in area/tables are dirty, sticky and horrible! Cleaning them will not help.). This really is a 100% takeout place. If we start there then the food is surprisingly good. Everything had good flavor, was hot and had a good quantity of chicken and shrimp. They do a very good takeout business because I think the locals know about the place. If I were the owners I'd get rid of the pictures in the takeout pickup area and give it a coat of paint.”
“Nice older Italian (? I'm guessing) man has ran it for as long as I can remember and he runs a tight ship. Clean, well stocked, orderly, just like a Subway should be. It can get pretty busy around lunch time but the staff handles the waves of customers by multitasking and making multiple orders at once. Only reason I didn't give it a 5⭐ rating overall is cause, c'mon......it's Subway”
“Great dunkin! Ian at the window is sooooooo helpful and dashingly good looking. I’d let my daughter date him! He’s such a gentleman and anytime he makes my coffee I know it’s going to be delicious! Overall great staff and great food cofee!”
“A gem in this pretty town! Ordered white clam pizza and cheese pizza. Pizza's crust was thin and fragrant. Both pizzas were fantastic. Cheese pizza was not too salty and tasted just perfect. White clam pizza was just so good too. Staff were also friendly and setting was very casual. Hope to be back!”
“The food at the village cafe is incredibly good. The meals are delicious and made with real ingredients. The owners and staff are always welcoming and go out of their way to accommodate customers. I have been going there since they opened and everything is always kept meticulously clean.”
“Great service and food, even when they are busy the line moves quickly. Everything I've had there has been delicious and you can make a preorder ahead of time for events or if you just want to guarantee you get what you want. If you're in the area for sure give them a try. The ambience is neighborly/ family friendly .”
“I had not been to Taza since they reopened. Once again, every single thing we ordered was just delicious. I’ve never ordered burgers or wings or fries there so I can’t speak to that but the Middle Eastern. Food is some of the best I’ve ever had. Their tabouli and salad is so fresh, the rice is the tastiest rice ever and the kofta, kebab, Shawarma and Middle Eastern vegetable dishes are exceptional . The garlic paste is amazing and you just have to have it as an accompaniment. And the yogurt cucumber sauce is also very good. This time I tried a couple of their desserts. So delicious .we are so lucky to have them in our little town.”
“First, I don't normally like chocolate flourless cake. It tends to be dense and dry so not worth the calories. But this ...this cake...is everything. It's smooth and silky...unless you're allergic, you have to eat this. Your mouth will thank you! The cheesecake is light and whippy, and not too sweet, and the fruit are fresh and happy just sitting there on top with powdered sugar. You must eat have it!!”
“I want to thank my main man Johnny and his staff for a wonderful experience. The service was definitely 5 star and the food a 10 out of 10. Will definitely be back soon.”
“This place is a true gem! Nestled unobtrusively in a little plaza, the restaurant doesn't seem like much on the outside. But you walk into a warm, truly cozy, whimsical atmosphere that wows. The staff were all wonderful and seemed happy to be there, and the service was fast and efficient. Great people. I got a small spot of hot sauce on my shirt, and was trying to get it out, and Zoom! Here comes our waitress with spot remover! Wow!The food? OMG THE FOOD! I at first thought the menu was a tad pricey, but when the food came, my plate was LOADED. Worth every penny! And it was utterly delicious! Very fresh ingredients, and flavorful!I can't rave enough about The Shack. We will eat there many more times in the future!”
“We got the spicy Italian panini. Large , Excellent and reasonable price. Sweet welcoming staff, fast efficient service. Don't be discouraged by the amount of people waiting for their order. They put order out quickly and everything is fresh. There is a lot of parking. It is a takeout. A couple bench inside and a pick-nick table outside. We will go back .”
“Stopped by here randomly with my family (wife & 3 kids) on a trip from NY to Boston .. We ordered a large cheese pizza to go. We were eager to get home so we ate it in the car.. The pizza was excellent. We all loved it.. My wife & kids all claimed that it was the best pizza they've EVER had.. It might not have been the best pizza I've EVER had but it's in the top 5. I actually thought the pizza may have even been a little bit undercooked and it was still phenomenal.. My only gripe was that I didn't order 2 or 3 more pizzas for the road and leftovers. During the remaining hour and 45 minute trip from the restaurant to Boston all we talked about was how good that pizza was.. True story...*5-STARS*”
“Excellent breakfast and brunch place. It is small, but it makes sense for a local spot in a small town.I've eaten here several times now and I am yet to be dissapointed. This time I had the French Toast special ? french toast was moist, stuffed with apples and topped with whipped cream and spinkled with cinnamon. Got a side of bacon to offset the sweetness of the french toast. It was the perfect breakfasts. My friends had Western omelets that are their go to here for breakfast”
“We loved our lunch time meal. My husband ordered the hamburger and I hit the lunch special quesidilla. Food was delicious and the atmosphere was great!!! We will be back in May to eat here again!!!”
“Oz n Bones deserves 5 stars across the board for what it does so well, but on one level it did not meet my expectation, and that's because they do everything so well, let me explain. We went on a Saturday night and had never been there before. When dining on a weekend, we like to experience a dining experience in which we can linger and enjoy an entire dining event, lasting an hour or two. But the system here is so well orchestrated, you are in and out in the blink of an eye, which is a tribute to the operation, but does not make for a Saturday night date night.Upon entering I was surprised to see that it's set up like a fast food operation, order at the counter and head to your seat, and on the way stop and meet their friendly bartender and grab your drink, no appetizers are available. We did that, and by the time we got our drink quickly, and arrived at a table, our meal was waiting for us. So, no time for dinner conversation while we enjoyed our drink. No sense letting the food get cold, so we dig in, drink our adult beverages while we eat, and we're done in about 30 minutes, very efficient. The food is fabulous, the staff is amazing, the service is efficient, and the setting is beautiful. Will I go back again and recommend it for what it is, absolutely. But, not on a weekend when I seek a nice full dining experience, if we were meeting another couple, we would have no time for conversation. It is reasonably priced, but as we did spend about $80 for 2 meals with one drink each, and were out of there in 30 minutes. For that amount we could go to another restaurant for a more traditional weekend dining experience, and not have to clear our own table when done.I love this place, and look forward to going back when I am looking for a quick bite to eat.”
“I've been getting my coffee from Deep River Roasters for years now, I used to roast my own or have it shipped from assorted roasters around the country. As a pretty big "coffee geek", I can say after trying everyone in CT that I have found, and quite a few places overseas, that there is no place I would rather get my coffee from. You're not going to find anyone around here with fresher roasted beans, or more care put into them. Fantastic coffee and fantastic people, who will certainly go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your coffee. Do yourself a favor and go now! Unless you're too far away, then check their website, because they also ship their beans!Parking: Huge parking lot at the Witch Hazel Works building.”
“If there was 5 star for take out - Centerbrook Pizza wins the Michelin Star. The food is deliciously homemade from their pizza to their pasta and all the salads and grinders in between .The service is family based - from Mike, the master in the kitchen to Anna , his wing woman, you both are best and go beyond for your customers ! ! Added shout to Norma , you are a great front person and you make super grill cheese.Want a great meal, go to Centerbrook !”
“Excellent Service and Drinks. Food was fantastic. Happy hour and specials as well! They will be having summer live music as well. Check Facebook. Must try the espresso and coffee. Great experience!”
“Small pastry shop, but amazing quality. I've been coming here for a while since my uncle turned us on to this place and the pastries are always fresh and consistent plus the stuffed bread is top tier. I'd stop by early and often if you're in the area!Parking: It's a small lot next to the building”
“Great casual atmosphere, friendly staff, and huge portions. Neither of us could finish our meals which were delicious. Definitely worth the forty minute drive, we will be back!”
“I've never written a review before but I felt compelled to leave one after my experience at Nana's. Yesterday was my first time there and it was awesome. Nana and the rest of the staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and just great to talk to. My boyfriend and I ordered the Alfredo pasta with chicken and it filled us both up which is surprising considering my boyfriend eats a lot, but anyways it was delicious, filling, and well priced. We also ordered the tiramisu and fried dough and both were extremely good. We were the only ones dining in there and Nana even threw in some extra fried dough for me. One of the best experiences I've had at restaurant, will definitely be going there again.”
“The beer was very good, the bartender was friendly and provided great service and explained all the different beers they had and made some great recommendations. The wings were very good, as was their special of day- sausage platter and pretzels. We highly recommend it and will return!”
“My family and I love Pokemoto! The food is fresh, diverse and delicious. I usually get the large bowl with 2-3 proteins (sushi) and white sticky rice bed with a large variety of vegetables, sauces and toppings. The service is also great. I appreciate how the servers are always eager to please. Pokemoto is our new GoTo in Colchester!”
“Is it crazy to get ice cream on a 32° night. Probably . Am I glad I did it? Definitely I had the brownie, mint mint, which was scrumptious. Great place great product.”
“AMAZING! Disregard the couple negative reviews about this place…the majority of the reviews are correct! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by Maria. My wife and I are visiting the area and wanted to try some good pizza. We had the wings and Pepperoni Pizza. Everything thing came out piping hot. Maria’s mom came out and was just as welcoming as Maria. Good service is a rarity these days but not here! Next time we are in the area, we will definitely return! We are so pleased, I’m writing the review from my car at the hotel parking lot so I didn’t forget! FYI: it’s a nice clean dining area”
“Aside from the fact that this is a beautifully secluded little spot, their offerings are delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. Fox Farm instantly became one of my top favorite places to visit in the New England area. Their Burst IPA is addictive.”
