“Long Gut Miss Pinny is such a hidden gem in Manchester. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was great, and the service was even better. Everything tasted super fresh and homemade. It’s run by a mother and daughter, and you can really tell how much care goes into the food. The mac and cheese was so good, the Jamaican patties were perfectly flaky, and the pepper shrimp had the perfect amount of spice. The chicken soup with pumpkin was comforting and flavorful, and the oxtail and curry chicken were absolutely delicious. Definitely a spot I’ll be going back to. Highly recommend checking it out.“

We loved everything that they offered (hardo bread, beef patty, coco bread, plantain tart and so on). When I said we liked EVERYTHING, I mean it. Everything was on point!! Yesterday was my first time (and last time) going into Scott's in about a decade plus. It is clear that management has changed (if not management, something has gone horribly wrong). The shell of the patty was beyond thick and there was little meat in it. The coco bread was beyond disgusting! It was a flavorless clump of undercooked dough. You know how coco bread is supposed to taste. It didn't taste like that at all. It seems as though they've cut corners on their peanut punch which had a gell-like texture. The BEST part of everything that I purchased was the Cola Champagne. As long as they continue to use the same distributor they can't mess that up. Maybe they had a bad day. I won't be spending money to find out.“

“I stopped eating Jamaican food years ago unless it came out of my kitchen. I was Feenin for some Jamaican food one night I was at work late. Got on door dash there was cream time. Hmmm what is this I ordered something simple because I’ve been traumatize from the food coming out of Hartford. I ordered fried chicken, rice and peas, and an order of festival. My god so simple and so delicious. I’ve probably ordered from them about 20 more times after that. The oxtail, the stew chicken, the curry goat, must o go on. This place is incredible. To the point where I had to call in and tell them how good the food was. I will soon go into this place because I need to meet the people who create this food and to just go check out the atmosphere. Keep cooking up that good food. Thank you“

“Been there often when I worked in Manchester. Came in today from the other side of the State and got 3 orders of pepper steak. As always did not disappoint. Best in CT if not beyond. Sizable portions, warm and friendly atmosphere and reasonable prices. Definitely recommend’“

“I’m from the Bahamas and I have lived in South Florida for years. I now live in North Florida and haven’t had the same Jamaican food restaurant taste as I did in South Florida. Why the hell I just pulled up in Windsor Locks Connecticut and saw this place and thought to myself ‘Ain’t no way in the world this gonna be good.’ I was wrong. I got the curry goat and a beef patty. This place is it. 100%. And I never leave comments.“

“Red pea soup on Saturdays.? Arrive before 3pm or else.....? Stewed peas...it's criminal how good this dish is. Perfectly salty. And the porridge....the cornmeal porridge coupled with fried dumplings. I dip mine into the porridge. Inappropriate, right?? The. Peanut. Porridge. Amazing ?? Reasonable prices and friendly service. Reggae or dancehall music can usually be heard and there are always beautiful people around. Its a vibe❤️ ?❤️“

“This was my second visit to The Dutch Pot Restaurant in Miami Gardens Fort Lauderdale, and it won’t be my last! The true gem of this place is the staff. From the moment I walked in, I noticed the genuine, friendly interaction between the staff and customers – no impatience or condescension, just warm and welcoming service. It’s rare to find such a personable atmosphere! The food was, as always, incredible. I had the curried goat, which was perfectly spiced and tender, and the oxtail was rich and flavorful. Both dishes were spot-on! To top it off, we were given a tour of the newly opened, exclusive upstairs dining area (pictures to come!), which looks fantastic. Kudos to the owners for continuously elevating the dining experience here. Overall, this is a fantastic business that deserves to be replicated – amazing food, a welcoming team, and a beautifully designed space. “I was disappointed because the servings of food are not consistent, one server makes sure to ask what you need and the food is good but the next server the following week really disappoint the rice was swimming in gravy it was so bad that it looked like dog food and I guess she didn't care about great service because the oxtails had 6 of the smallest pieces of oxtails that I have seen; this was so disappointing it felt like I had begged for some food.
