We go often. Even took out of state family visiting and they loved the food.
They are reasonably priced (hopefully to stay) and you leave full.

My grandson and I went for dinner, the owner, Micheal, was very friendly, food was good, and my grandson said it reminded him of the movie, The Nonna's, which made Micheal very happy, because that's the reason he opened his restaurant, to honor His Mother. Ciao, Micheal, grazie!

Moms Nothing Fancy Seafood Restaurant is a casual, nicely decorated eatery with a nautical theme. The service is very friendly, attentive, and personable, with workers and the owner showing clear enthusiasm and pride. The food is generally very good, served hot and fast with good portions. Specific praised items include the fish sandwich on a great buttered and toasted roll, the perfectly cooked Captain Platter, whole belly clams, scallops, fried shrimp, clam strips, hot lobster rolls, chowder, fish and chips, and lobster bisque with plenty of meat. Sides like the fresh, daily coleslaw and onion rings are excellent, and the almond cake dessert is amazing. However, the French fries are noted as a miss. The dining area is small. A minor point is that the outdoor menu prices differ from the indoor menu. Overall, it is a great experience, worth a shot for fried seafood in central CT, and very impressive.
