“Had Christine (and her husband Pete) cater my wedding on 10/10/25. From the moment we went for the tasting we were excited to have them prepare dinner for our guests. They did not disappoint. Appetizers were soo good I could have eaten them for dinner alone. Food was cooked perfectly and plates were visually satisfying down to the rosemary garnish. I’m not from the CT area but I took a chance on Best in Gourmet, I found them doing a Google search, read their reviews and went with them because of how responsive, on point and easy Ariel made everything. The potatoes were perfectly seasoned and tender, toast was buttery and soft, and the omelette as you can tell from the video was very packed with meat and pepper.

“Fortuna’s Catering was so incredible to work with. They helped me craft the perfect summer pool party menu for my mom’s 60th birthday! We had lobster rolls, crab cake, shrimp cocktail, and more for very reasonable prices! They were kind, accommodating, and the food was DELICIOUS! Everyone was raving about it. I can’t wait to use them again for another special gathering. Oh, and they delivered it all to us!!“

“For a local deli not bad think Fortuna in Westport is much better but for a local inexpensive lunch option in Fairfield this is a decent spot. Friendly employees who can almost tell what you are going to order b4 u tell them. Area to eat in is kept clean and pleasant. Outdoor sidewalk seating would be a nice addition...“

“As I was passing through the area and in need of some nourishment, I came across this place and was happy to be able to get a deli sandwich from a deli. I had the Italian combo wedge, which, for those of you that do not realize, a wedge is the same as what many would call a grinder or, a submarine sandwich.
The folks here were nice and my sandwich was good. It was stuffed with good stuff in between the role that was good and fresh.
I asked them to make sure they did not drown it in oil and vinegar and they did a great job…
The Italian combo consist of salami, pepperoni, bologna, ham, sweet peppers, lettuce, tomato, provolone, oil and vinegar.
Next time I may opt to get the American combo, which is more of a ham, turkey, and roast beast type sandwich…
There are a couple small tables, so if somebody wanted to sit down and eat, that is an option.
There appears to be plenty of snacks, drinks, and coffee available here as well.
Parking could be a little tricky here from the way things look right now.
I was able to turn around and park across the street so my vehicle was facing towards the main road, making my departure a breeze.

“I just tried it on a whim. Best chicken Caesar I’ve ever had. Also, it’s awesome having it as an actual sandwich. Not sure why everybody else only makes chicken Caesar wraps. I’ll happily pay $8.50 when it’s that good. Keep up the great work!“
