“Consistently fresh, delicious food that never disappoints!!! We appreciate the vegetarian options. Our favorites are Gbegiri & Ewudu and Ewa Agoyin. The food is well prepared/seasoned, well presented and well packaged; the portions are very generous! The restaurant’s customer service is exceptional. The staff is accommodating and customer oriented. Staff take time to explain their dishes (ingredients) and consistently follow order specifications. Specifically, some family members don’t tolerate high heat/spice level and the restaurant is responsive to serve the spicy sauce separately to allow the customer to control the spice level to their desired tolerance. Their ability to customize dishes demonstrates their food is not premade or pre-packaged. Instead it is freshly made in house and indeed one can taste the quality ingredients used in the freshly prepared foods. The restaurant also kindly offers a catering menu which we are excited to learn about because we enjoy the food so much and would love to order larger portions. Really glad to have discovered this hidden gem on Uber Eats and can’t get enough of their yummy food & excellent customer service! Thank you.“

“I love their Fried chicken every single time I go I get fried chicken with oxtail gravy! When I have events I order their fried chicken as well that’s how much I love it! I can’t speak for anything else but they’re fried chicken, it’s consistently juicy and not dry each time I’ve gone so I stick to it! And their rice is so airy and fluffy, not sure how they do it, but it’s good!“

Everyone I know that craves that Jamaican vibe along with the flavors that go with it always highly recommend ROOTSMAN. Long time residents of Bpt, who have relocated to towns up north, still take the drive to feast on Leroy's Pepper Steak, Oxtail, Jerk chicken, Curry Goat, Curry Chicken etc.
I personally feel that ROOTSMAN is the epitome of how meats should be prepared. Melt-in-your-mouth like hot butter on pancakes. Succulent, juicy, tender and so flavorful you'll wish your portion never ends! I hope my visits to ROOTSMAN never end either!“
