About Jean's Diner

Jean's Diner is a restaurant that serves Haitian and American cuisine. The restaurant is clean, bright, friendly, and super inviting, with a family friendly environment. The staff and owners are attentive, friendly, kind, and welcoming, and the person taking phone orders is always polite and very helpful. The food is well-seasoned, freshly cooked, and tastes just like a home-cooked meal. For breakfast, the perfectly scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese, delicious corned beef hash, and rye toast are phenomenal. The steak and eggs is to die for delicious, with a steak so juicy and tender, and the snapper and grits is so tasty and delicious. An egg and cheese sandwich with sweet potato fries is really good. The chicken soup is incredible. The Poul Nan Sos Meal (Stew Chicken) with the Diri Djon Djon rice features crispy chicken cooked in a delicious and spicy sauce, coming with plantains and a spicy cole slaw, and the Diri Djon Djon rice has a great texture and flavor. The Legum griot pikliz etc. is Haitian and American cuisine done right. Whether looking for breakfast any time of day or a plate with a new cultural experience, this is the place to visit.

Delicious food, a great variety on the menu, and excellent service. I highly recommend it👌👍💯
My parents and I just stumbled upon this restaurant as we were looking for lunch along our trip to Maine. I am glad that we found it as I had never had Haitian food before and was glad to try it here. I got the Poul Nan Sos Meal (Stew Chicken) with the Diri Djon Djon rice. The chicken was crispy and cooked in a delicious and spicysauce. It came with plantains and a spicy cole slaw. The Diri Djon Djon rice had a great texture and flavor, unlike any rice that I have ever had!...read full review
Jean, Warrior, and Mary are absolute rockstars, and Jean’s Diner is a total gem! I first started coming here just for their incredible chicken soup, which got me so hooked I started buying it in bulk. This past Sunday, I dropped by hoping to try the pumpkin soup. It wasn't quite ready until noon, so I decided to grab breakfast instead—and I am so glad I did!
