When we walked in, we were expecting more of a sit down restaurant, but it only had like 2 tables. I didn't mind that though. It was a chill place and we decided to eat there. I really liked my chicken sandwich. It had a good kick and the fries were also really good. The chicken patty was pretty big as well! Definitely recommend trying!

Forever on the hunt for the best fried chicken sandwich. Thought nothing could compare to one I discovered at SAW's Soul Kitchen in Birmingham, Alabama. But The Classic here at Oar & Oak Birdhouse is every bit as good and I did not even try the various specialty versions! I just had the classic chicken sandwich and the cornbread. I’m serious when I tell you this is the best chicken sandwich I had in CT. This place is really a hidden gem. I could definitely come again
