“We went for dinner tonight. My parents love it and took us for my husbands birthday. Food was great! Such big portions and so many shrimp in my Nana’s dish, and it was delish! But what I really want to comment on is that I informed the waitress my son had a peanut allergy. She said they didn’t have anything with peanuts but would inform them. She came back with a picture of the back of the bread wrapper to show me the ingredients to make sure his grilled cheese was safe. I appreciated that more than they know. As a new mom who is also new to the allergy world I’m just learning and the fact that they thought to show me the ingredients says so much. Usually people think if there are no peanuts it’s safe, but you knew enough to look at the ingredients in the bread and go the step further to show me, and I thank you for that!“

“We were at the flea market nearby and went for lunch because it was so close. Located in a strip mall, it’s was a cozy, informal, little restaurant with booths and some tables. Service was prompt and courteous, menu had all the classics and nice, simple dinners and black board specials. We had cheeseburger deluxe and pastrami melt. The fries were so good, steak fries that cooked to a deep golden brown. Perfect crunch for the outside, soft and mashed potato like inside. It’s been a while since I had fries that good!!! Burger was hefty, cooked to perfection and juicy. Pastrami melt was tender, with very thinly sliced sauté onions, grilled well on rye. Coleslaw was very good, not too saucy, not to dry. Ice tea was very good.Saw others selections, pot roast with gravy looked so good and a grilled chicken salad that was enormous!Prices were great for the quality and portion sizes. “Anthony’s Pizza is a great pizza place in Oakville CT. It has great food and fantastic pizza. There thin crust, crispy, cheese pizza is great. It's price tag is worth it. The wait is not terribly long and to get takeout is a smooth and easy process. The workers at the place is very good. The parking space is always big enough and will always have room to park there. If not you can park on the side of the street safely. I highly suggest Anthony's pizza, I've been there multiple times and it has never disappointed. Many other pizza places I have gone to have been on and off with there pizza but Anthony's pizza has never disappointed me. By far best pizza in town!Parking: The parking lot is good size and if it is full there's parking on the side of the road that you most likely would be able to use.“

I had a chicken cutlet grinder and mozzarella sticks, and everything was fresh! the bread for the grinder was so good, it seemed like it was just baked and that just came out of the oven and the chicken cutlet on it was perfect and tasty and the lettuce and tomato was fresh and crisp. and oh my my, those mozzarella sticks are out of this world! tons of mozzarella cheese, which again I must say tasted so fresh and they were cooked to perfection, the outside was golden brown and crispy and then you pull it apart and the cheese just keeps coming and coming and you see how far you can stretch the cheese out before it's going to fall......LOL. They are from NYC the owners and can tell they brought up their recipes with them! It's family owned and ran. The Family is so delightful. My absolute go to! “Just moved my parents into the town so wanted to try something close and local. Per the website they prefer customers to use the Slice app so I did that. Ordering was easy especially when it came to customization. We needed it delivered since we were tied up with moving etc. Took a loooong time and was delivered a good 15 minutes after the estimated time (was a 45 min wait for the pizza and delivery). Keep in mind.... Drop off location was less than 4 miles from the shop. That was the only frustrating thing- next time we will 1000% pick up to save time. The pizzas themselves were great! The cheeseburger pizza is my personal favorite but we got the Works and a plain cheese. No complaints with the food.“

I found a certificate on Restaurants.com for the pizzeria, and it was a good deal. Lunch and dinner at a discount! The burgers were pretty large, as were the fries if you ordered them as a side. The pizza had more of a tomato-acidy sauce than sweet, but a good amount of cheese. You could order by the slice inside. There is also ice cream, onion rings in the hot food area, and baked goods wrapped for desserts. There's both Coke and Pepsi in the coolers, and chips behind the window side booths. They also have a bar area and sell on Slice! Big Daddys also does local delivery on certain days in the evening. Goodness, there's a lot going on. Plus, a good flow of pick up orders. The gentlemen at the register seemed to have a good handle on things though.“

“They are located behind a gas station in Litchfield, CT. They rank up there with Bigfoot and UFO's in terms of things you might randomly find while driving. That being said, make the effort. “Oh boy! I recently moved from Fairfield County Connecticut to Hartford County, specifically Bristol. I have been looking for a really good pizza joint, I grew up eating great pizza from New Haven to Bridgeport, unfortunately being in Bristol for 6 months I have been disappointed time after time. Well that has ended today! The New Haven Pizza Company in Wolcott is EXCELLENT! Just a beautiful 6 mile drive away. Whenever I try a new place my eyes are always bigger then my stomach and I get excited and really want to try everything on the menu lol. But for my first visit I got a large cheese pizza, half bacon half meatball...I love this pizza! Crust was crisp, sauce is flavorful, plenty of toppings, great mozzarella cheese. Fried mozzarella was incredible...2 big triangles of cheese covered in marinara sauce, this delicious and I will order often. Finally I got a chicken parm on a hard roll...Excellent! Not many places have a choice of a hard roll or grinder roll, I had to get a hard roll because when I worked in New Haven I got that for lunch almost everyday. Will get this again. Unfortunately I didn't see any deserts on the menu otherwise I would have gotten something sweet. Trust me when I tell you if you like New Haven style pizza or NY style pizza, you will love this place. Thank goodness I don't live next door to this place or I'd weigh 500 pounds. Enjoy!“

The amazing menu is only beat by the amazing food options.
