“They are located behind a gas station in Litchfield, CT. They rank up there with Bigfoot and UFO's in terms of things you might randomly find while driving. That being said, make the effort. Their pizza is awesome, with perhaps the most perfect crust I've had. Everything else on their menu is well done, too. Why does all the magic happen behind a gas station?“

“Up in the northwest corner of the state in Litchfield County holds this hidden gem. It’s been ages since I’ve been here and I practically grew up here and Gooseboro’s as a kid (Cozy Hills Campground.) Bantam Pizza has been here since..well..since I can remember.

Parking - Plenty of it, and there’s a good number of handicap spaces.

Food - Pizza was on point and delicious. Normally..I like my pizza to be doughy and not have that crunch..but their pizza has that crunch but it also falls apart if and when you cut into it so it’s got that perfect texture. I got the Bantam Special but with no fish…I hate anchovies. Crust was a little hard..but it’s okay, I don’t usually eat the crust anyway, even on a doughy pizza…unless it’s stuffed. Soda came out in a can…so no fountain drinks.

Service - Friendly, fast, efficient and always came to see if I needed anything more and how I was doing. She seemed impressed that I ate the whole thing..but it was a small pizza..so of course, I can and will eat it all…especially if it’s good..otherwise it’ll go in the fridge for a week and I’ll forget about it.

Overall…definitely a 5* visit and will return. Menu has changed a bit as far as pricing goes compared to what they show so this is the updated menu.“

“ordered from ollies for the first time last week. theyre new on slice! placed my order, and everything I put in the "special request" spot, was not done, I called them, they were SOOOOOO friendly and explained that it was a new system, and it was written very small, they made my food correct, and none of them could've been any more apologetic! I felt bad, since they had to bring it all the way back to Torrington. Again the person that delivered was apologetic, and they gave me a free desert. I cant tell you enough how friendly these guys ALL are, we even ordered from them again tonight. the food is sooo good, on top of good service, you can't go wrong...everyone needs to try them, you won't be disappointed! “Warm atmosphere with comfortable chairs and great lighting, Dishes according to their price, the calzone is large and you can add whatever you want, in terms of flavor they go overboard with the sauce, it was too much on each plate. The service was friendly although they were not attentive to the table, even though there were few tables (ask how everything is, if they want more water or so on). The price is reasonable.“

“We went for dinner tonight. My parents love it and took us for my husbands birthday. Food was great! Such big portions and so many shrimp in my Nana’s dish, and it was delish! But what I really want to comment on is that I informed the waitress my son had a peanut allergy. She said they didn’t have anything with peanuts but would inform them. She came back with a picture of the back of the bread wrapper to show me the ingredients to make sure his grilled cheese was safe. I appreciated that more than they know. As a new mom who is also new to the allergy world I’m just learning and the fact that they thought to show me the ingredients says so much. Usually people think if there are no peanuts it’s safe, but you knew enough to look at the ingredients in the bread and go the step further to show me, and I thank you for that!“

The way she assumes what you are there for, and how hard she bangs on the touch screen when entering your order.. It all drives me crazy.. I guess I need to get over that and not be so hard on her... “I ordered catering for my small backyard wedding from franks. We always get our pizza from franks (which is the best in town) so I figured let’s get our catering from them too! We got the chicken piccata and sausage and peppers trays and we were blown away! I highly recommend franks. All of my guests loved it too everyone complimented the food. They were also very accommodating for us. We originally wanted food for 430 and then we wanted it sooner last minute so we called and they were there asap. Thank you franks !!!“

“We are from Alabama, passing through the city, and stopped for lunch. This had to be one of the best pizzas I’ve had. We ordered the margherita pizza and an add your own topping” calzone. They were both incredibly fresh and delicious including the sauce. Also the small size is quite large!

“I have ordered the chicken cutlet grinder, lemon chicken Satorini grinder (need to try if you haven't!), eggplant and meatball parmesan grinders, and the Santa Fe and gyro chicken wraps. EVERYTHING has been excellent as far as freshness, flavor, and reasonable prices for generous portions. I understand they bake their own bread which would explain why the grinder rolls are always super fresh. Also, the staff are always friendly and appreciative. Although I've only gotten takeout, the place looks clean and comfortable, and there are tables so you can dine in.“

“Stopped in on a whim. There were several CT brews on tap, always a good sign. Had the fish and chips (good) but the real standout was the flatbread with Alfredo, clams, bacon, and potatoes. “we showed up today (5/26) around 1:30 with 10 bikes ...11 people total and was turned away by the hostess with an attitude "We don't have room for you" not given a wait time or any type of accommodation. We road from Bellingham, MA ( a pretty long distance). I've never gone to a restaurant and have that restaurant turn away business. I do not recommend even though it's known as a "biker friendly" restaurant.“

“We came here a year ago and are happy to say that our review has gone from 2 to 4 stars. Food was much better! We still love the atmosphere too. The service is still a bit unprofessional and chaotic. We sat in the bar area and overheard that there were two new wait staff being trained, so hopefully this will improve. It was kind of like casually going over someone else’s kitchen for dinner. But everyone was nice and the service was efficient.
