“My parents enjoyed lobster rolls to celebrate their 71st wedding anniversary today. Loved listening to my Dad talk about his memories of the Stand opening in 1937. His family lived across the street and he said his oldest sister was allowed to take his older brother to get a free ice cream cone they were giving out all day. He was only 5 at the time and had to wait till his Dad got home from work to go get his. He also said he remembers there were service windows all the way around the stand and that day all the windows were busy all day long. Would recommend any and everything they serve. If it wasn’t great, it would never have survived this long.“
