“It's a homey atmosphere and we knew we were pushing our luck when we went at 9 am on a Sunday morning, but they still had tables because of the large joining room. The meals came out quickly and exactly as promised. There was a waitress dedicated to topping off coffee and tables were constantly being checked for dishes to be taken away or if refills were needed. They never rushed us. Like I said it was a very comfortable place to relax and catch up while having our breakfast.“
“We came here on a whim one night, the fish and chips were amazing! Thin batter, not greasy at all, and high quality fish! We also started with a salad which was great and homemade dressing I believe! Also friend calamari which is hard to get around here, very good! Service was good, and it was a nice atmosphere, very home-y feeling!“
“Enjoyed this place. The service was excellent the food was great. We are not from MA/CT and we're visiting the area so it came recommended. The place was packed on a random Wednesday night at 4PM. That is a great sign. Just really enjoyed it.“
“Went here this afternoon for a take order of fish & chips and when I got home and opened the box I said wowza! The portions were huge! And the fish was awesome! I definitely will be making this a weekly stop! And the price was very reasonable!“

“Amazing food, real home cooked meal. We were looking for comfort food and we found it. The pineapple carrot bread was just the icing in the cake after the large portioned, well-seasoned mashed potatoes and NY sirloin. I will order it well done next time.“
“Everything you get here is delicious. Everything from the homemade drinks to the chocolate chip dessert is amazing. My favorite meal is the classic Italian! Very large sandwich and can easily be two meals unless you’re hungry haha! Highly recommend stopping at this rustic restaurant if you want to leave feeling full and happy!“

“Hank's Dairy Bar in Plainfield, CT, is a true gem deserving of a resounding 5-star review. Since 1957, it has been an iconic establishment in the area, eagerly awaited by locals every season. The food is consistently great, with a particular highlight being their delectable soft serve ice cream. The lobster roll is solid, but my personal go-to is their heavenly clam cakes and chowder. The outdoor dining experience on their expansive four-acre property adds a charming touch, making it perfect for families. Whether you're enjoying a meal at the picnic tables or opting for a nostalgic car dining experience, Hank's delivers. The added allure of special events like Backyard Car Cruises and musical guests further enhances the overall experience. For a taste of tradition and a memorable dining outing, Hank's Dairy Bar is the quintessential choice.“
“Okay, I will publicly admit I've been living under a rock, because I never even heard of this place until the afternoon of February 18, 2024. We sat down at a table for four in the room with the TV's (my nephew's request), and we looked at out menus. I was torn between choosing what burger or mac and cheese dish to go for, but after trusting my intuition, I went with the Fried Luigi burger. The red onions and fried egg really make this burger a taste sensation takes your taste buds for a ride on the Flavor Town Express. That's the best description I can come up with, so fi you love your burgers with fried eggs, you'll love this.I love seeking out places that have tasty burgers in my travels, whether it's a food truck or a restaurant, and I can now add New York Pizza Company to my list. Also the nacho chips and cheese dip were equally delicious. I said, "I wish I was an octopus with two heads and a second stomach!" I wanted to snarf down everything on my plate, it was sooo darn good!! The icing on the cake was waddling like a stuffed penguin back to the car, as I was left full and satisfied. Bottom line: If you haven't been to New York Pizza Company, come check it out, your tummy and your taste buds will be glad you did.“
“I was in Dayville and I was starving. I stopped into Railside Tavern and loved the welcome and the look. Huge menu, lots of seafood, beef, and pasta choices, big plus, angel hair is an option. I got the chicken picata w/ angel hair, lots of capers, no artichoke hearts. Served very hot, juicy with plenty of lemon sauce, I liked it, chicken was slightly over cooked. I then had a cup of lobster bisque, it was very good, great broth and lots of ground lobster, no chunks but obviously lots of ground lobster, yummy! For desert I had the special offering of apple crisp with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Of course, awesome!! If you're in the area or passing through, definitely check out Railside Tavern, I'm still happily stuffed!!“
“Our first visit. What a lovely little cafe! It was busy on this Sunday afternoon but we got a table. Staff are very friendly. There is local art all over and some for sale. They serve local soda and use locally grown food and meats where possible. On Saturdays you might catch some live music. We ordered a bison burger which was cooked correctly and tasted good. A pastrami Reuben which was delicious. They said it’s their most ordered sandwich. Had the “award winning” chili. It was good. It was fresh but not much spice. You can add hot sauce to it like I did. I also had a fish wrap, one of the daily specials. I didn’t care for it. The haddock was flaky and yummy but the Thai sauce didn’t go with the fish in my opinion and it was messy to eat. I ended up unfolding the wrap and eating just the fish with a fork.“
“Stopped on the way home after getting a Christmas tree with my partner and fell in love with this place. We were looking for a quick snack and bought a sandwich and an assortment of other delicacies, the fudge was delectable and we were talking on how we wished we had this closer to home. If you're in the area please check it out!“
