Wow! I couldn't believe how much food I received for so little money and each item I tried was so so so so so so good!
Amazing pastries but the staff was what makes this place wonderful!!! 5 stars all day long!

Based on the reviews, International Bakery – Portuguese Bakery CT is a wonderful find with knowledgeable and friendly staff. The bread and pastries are amazing, with a variety of authentic Portuguese delicacies. The custard tarts, also called pastéis de nata, are exceptional and always make the day. The Portuguese rolls are hard to beat and are baked fresh every day. The bakery is the most authentic in Waterbury, using real butter and clean ingredients with no vegetable oils or added chemicals. The custard cups are a favorite and do not disappoint. The bakery is small with a take-out atmosphere, no coffee or seating, and the first language spoken is Spanish and Portuguese. Customer service is fast and attentive. The bakery is crowded in the morning, so getting there early is recommended. Great prices and easy in-and-out access make this a must-visit for authentic Portuguese pastry and bread.
