This place was my very first experience with jamaican food, and I wouldn't have it any other way. The food here is super delicious and always has me craving it. From the jerk pork to the fried chicken, it's all top notch food. The atmosphere is great and is super homey. The service is on another level though: my personal experiences have been great anytime I go, I practically feel like family each time I go up to order. This place is amazing. Th Waterbury area has been lacking in Jamaican cuisine for a while and this is just what we need. Wonderful food and service. Appreciate the Wednesday special and variety of foods to choose from on a daily basis.

I just tried Island Rootz and I don’t have enough good things to say about it. Their food is the best I’ve ever had and they’re so friendly. They have such a great variety and great prices for quality food !
