The pizza was so good. I had “The Calabrese” and I ended up eating the whole thing (I don’t recommend that - I just couldn’t have it go to waste). The service is great and the atmosphere is laid back. Perfect place for my first slice of CT.

New Haven pizza, sorry Jersey this stuff is damn good. Don't get me wrong, Dusals in Jersey is pretty good but Pepe has it beat.
I had a reservation for 5:30, I got there at 5:30 and still no room for me to sit, I had to wait another 10 minutes until they cleared a booth… this is smth that should’ve been done BEFORE I got there esp since it’s a reservation. Then when I got seated and got plates more than half of the plates had a stain and were dirty, I had to ask for new plates. Once the food came which took more than 20 minutes and we had it, I asked for the check, the server gave it to me and then once I paid I asked for it printed and she never gave it to me. I waited another 10 minutes until I had to ask again different server for my receipt. I am very very disappointed with my experience and don’t expect to be back in person. I’m truly sad because this is supposed to be one of the best pizza places so I was truly excited to try the food, but the service really ruined it for me.

Famous of course but I find in West Hartford it's hit or miss.
Sometimes pizza excellent sometimes just good.

Stopped in the other day for lunch - our second time at this location - very good pizzas and salads with helpful service. James, our server, was excellent - very friendly. We will be back for sure when in the area.

Gotta love Pepe’s! We were in the neighborhood and in a bit of a rush. We were seated and our order was taken and brought out quickly. The margherita pizza was perfect- charred just enough to add the quintessential Pepe’s flavor….washed down with a Foxon Park birch beer. Great stuff!

This is some of the greatest pizza i had and im visiting from nyc. If you are sitting in ask for James as your server he is the best A1 service

We travel an hour to the West Hartford Pepes because the pies made there taste just like the original pies did in the 70’s. Plus all the servers are friendly and welcoming. We always have special requests and no matter what type of pies we order, they are always perfect!

First time here and it was great! Very good service and MAN are they some hard workers in there - nobody was standing around…..they were all working hard. And the customers were greeted with smiles. I got the double pepperoni pie.
