“Take-out food recommendation! Hot Basil Thai Food, 565 New Park Ave, West Hartford. Ordered three dishes at 2:15pm today for pick-up. Not only was the food OUTSTANDING, but the price SHOCKED me at how low it was. I guess the lunch menu prices is reduced. I will be doing this again, frequently. I've eaten there for dinner several times per year for years and never regretted it, but this blew me away, both the quality and price. Let's be sure to keep them in business with take-out orders!“

“This is a small hole in the wall type of place which i love. I ordered chicken pad thai, shrimp fresh rolls(summer rolls) and tom kha gai soup. The summer rolls were very different from others I've had. It doesn't seem like they use butter lettuce for theirs as you can tell that they aren't very green. The peanut sauce was really thick and tasted a lot lighter than others I've had. It was okay. In terms of the tom kha soup. I feel like this is the thai version of french onion soup. Every place makes it different and some are really good and some aren't. This one was very basic. Onions regular button mushrooms, green peppers, and i think some ginger. Didn't taste any lemon grass or anything. It was still refreshing and good tasting, just not up there with some of the others I've had. The pad thai was decent, it does seem like they use tamarind paste which is traditional. The bad was it seemed pretty oily and the oil taste was pretty over powering. The boba tea was awesome! I had the brown sugar thai tea. Overall this was decent in terms of the food we had. Definitely worth a try. Thanks!“

We ordered a large variety of items for a group of friends to share family-style, and all the dishes were a perfect combination of generous amounts of fresh ingredients prepared with top-notch technique. Would highly recommend the crab Rangoon (definitely the best the group has had) and the tenderloin beef. They also provided a large amount of fortune cookies and fried eggroll chips simply because they noticed the amount of food being ordered. We’ll be back for sure!“
