“5-Star Vibes at Harp’s Grill Bar & Grill – West Haven

This was my second or third time visiting Harp’s Grill Bar & Grill, but my first time actually sitting down to eat—and I’m glad I did.

I stopped in for what I like to call a “late-night snack” and ordered some wings. Let me tell you, those wings were delicious. Thursday night also happened to be karaoke night, and the vibe was exactly what I needed. The atmosphere was laid-back, welcoming, and full of good energy.

If you’re 35+ and looking for a relaxed, grown-folks setting with a mix of cultures, good food, and good music, this is definitely a spot to check out. All cultures and all vibes are welcome here.

From what I observed, the woman I believe to be the owner—Tasha—runs a tight ship. As a fellow business owner, I appreciated the way she handled things. Respect.“

“AMAZING ! BEST SPOT IN TOWN !

I’m traveling for work so I have to eat out everyday, I’ve found my go to place ! I’ve tried like 8 things on the menu.

1. The Gyro, very good, very filling & worth every cent ! Ask for extra white sauce.

2. Mixed over rice ! Probably the best thing on the menu next to the chicken wings. Truly is just gas !!!

3. Hot wings, juicy, crispy, flavorful ! WORTH EVERY CENT !

4. 2 piece Fish, pretty good, not my favorite but isn’t a disappointment at all.

5. Seafood salad, BEST SIDE !!

6. Cheeseburger is hella good too, worth the $6, I’ve got that twice.

SO OVERALL, mixed over rice, hot wings, or gyro over pita are my highest recommendations !

Oh, & the salad is good too !

Next time I’m gonna try the butter chicken

“Idk about these other reviewers' experiences, but mine has always been on point! My son and I came here to pick up dinner for tonight and the food was slamming as usual. The only problem I had was that the workers were kinda slow getting everything together. We nearly missed the bus we were waiting for. I asked for string beans as one of the sides, and I truly couldn't have made them better myself. Maybe it's gotten better since these other reviews were written, hopefully they'll try again. I know I'll be back.“

“The sandwich was absolutely delicious! I chose the medium spicy chicken and it was just right for me.....spicy and yummy. Braver souls can choose spicier options. The cole slaw was a perfect match for the sandwich too, a touch of spicy too! Highly recommend tjis restaurant. Best meal I've had in town.“

“We visited Dave’s Hot Chicken on Dixwell Ave in Hamden, and it was an excellent experience. We ordered the hot chicken sandwiches, Dave’s Bites, and the top loaded fries, and everything was full of flavor. The chicken was seasoned really well, with real spices you can actually taste. The “hot” level was genuinely hot, which means the “extra hot” must be seriously spicy!
The place was busy and full, and we could tell people were happy with both the service and the quality of the food. We were greeted at the cashier by a very friendly lady named Shantay, who walked us through the menu. We sat at a clean table, and the whole restaurant, including the bathrooms , was impressively clean.
We really enjoyed the chicken here, and I’m pretty sure we’ll be coming back again… and again. Highly recommended!“
