“It has been a good 6-7 years since the last time ordered from Popeye's, and it was my first time at the Wethersfield location. I had forgotten how good their food is! I think these are my favorite fast food fries and possibly my favorite fast food chicken, as well. Tonight, I got the Big Tenders Box... 3 BIG tenders, 2 sides, and a biscuit for only $6.99.

Service was fast and friendly, and the food was delicious.

(Sorry I forgot our servers name but she was a tall blonde) I brought my friend’s son who has special needs there because he said it was “national onion ring day” and he wanted onion rings. Our server was so sweet because they don’t have onion rings on the menu, but she went in the kitchen to ask if there was any way my friend could have onion rings. A few minutes later, Carlos came out with a plate of onion rings for my friend who celebrated and said they were so delicious! We ordered the Honey BBQ & Dry Rub wings with a side of Mexican Street Corn, and everything hit the spot: the wings were perfectly crispy with so much flavor. The Mexican Street Corn was delicious too, though it leaned a little heavy on the mayo for my personal taste.. I still enjoyed it thoroughly. “The other day I was craving Cheek’s, so I ordered my absolute go-to: the Grilled Deluxe Sandwich with spicy chipotle sauce and a side of onion rings. It is honestly the best sandwich out there. The chicken is grilled to perfection, the chipotle sauce gives it the perfect kick, and here is my ultimate pro-tip: put an onion ring inside the sandwich for an incredible crunch!

Speaking of the onion rings—if you have ever been to Six Flags and had Johnny Rockets' onion rings but can't find anything similar, go to Cheek’s. They are actually even better!
