“Really enjoyed your restaurant, probably the best clam chowder I have every eaten and I'm a snob when it comes to food.Shout out to Stephany who helped me with getting a receipt I needed. She was not only helpful but very pleasant and a wonderful greeter for your customers.Parking: Depends on the day and time you come. It's in a plaza which is pretty busy.“
“Had a Saturday lunch with friends and 18 month old twins-staff couldn't have been more understanding and accommodating. Had the turkey Chili- delicious! And went with the server's recommendation of beer (facehugger IPA), which went perfectly. Would definitely eat here again.“
“If you’re a foodie like me, you’ll love this place! The menu has an array of both traditional and eclectic southern style dishes. My guest was hesitant to sit on the side by the window, so I took that seat (well insulated)and was very comfortable. We were promptly greeted by our server Chris G. He took He took my drink order, however, my guest was undecided, so she proceeded to quiz him incessantly about everything on the menu from the cocktails to the dinners and appetizers . I was a bit embarrassed. Thank goodness he was extremely patient, he literally accommodated her every request with grace!!We tried the shrimp and grits and it did not disappoint. The shrimp was plump, tender and fresh, we chose the cheddar grits! They were creamy and complemented the dish perfectly. I went with a short ribs. They were so delicious I took the last piece of bread in the basket to “sop” up the sauce. For dessert she had poached peer . pair and I went with an espresso martini.I just spoke with her yesterday , which prompted me to finish my review. She has eaten there now three times friends and she looks all the way up in Milford.hats off to proprietor AND chef-Kudos to the entire team!“
“We love this place! The pizza is really good and they’re veryyy generous with the basil which is much appreciated! The atmosphere is nice and chill. We especially love the bartender, JD! He always makes us feel welcome and he’s also a great bartender. Magic 5 pie has definitely become one of our go to spots. :) thank you!“
“This is my second time here and I absolutely love this Restsurant. Everything we had was delicious. Starting with the coconut margarita with real chunks of coconut. They were delicious. We had the guacamole., empanadas and fish tacos which were awesome. My husband got the pork chop and I am not even a pork chop person but this was cooked to perfection and it was delicious. This is my new favorite place to go in Stamford.“
“Food and service were great. Place was very busy on a Saturday night. Plenty of parking. We had calamari, burrata, and meatballs for appetizers; linguini, veal, chicken and gnocchi main course. Food was delicious. I will recommend going. At times, it got very noisy.“
“It was our first time at Rossutos.. the ambiance is very inviting and the food was amazing. Allona offered as an excellent service and with her great personality and knowledge she guided us to the right choices with warmth and made our experience a pleasant one! We will be back soon!“
“We had dinner this past weekend and the experience was phenomenal. We started with mark twain cocktails & burrata . The special Artic Char entree was delicious! Our server Patrick was so sweet and attentive! We will definitely be back ?“
“This was the best service we have received at a restaurant! Ten of my friends and I dropped in before a wedding reception and they really rolled out the red carpet for us. We enjoyed watching college football, while they brought out complementary chips, waters, and the drinks were so fun and delicious! We would recommend this restaurant to anyone!“
“we made the right choice by stopping in after our trip to the aquarium. The staff member was very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious, I got the birria tacos 10/10. The kids French fries were fire and the cheese stretch on the quesadillassss?! Very family friendly.“
“Love this Bbq place, definitely the best in the area, maybe even the whole state. The ribs are cooked perfectly, I can eat a whole rack, they are cooked perfectly. The brisket is amazing. So tender and flavorful. The pork belly is simply the best. The crackling is out of this world. We love this place, the service is excellent!“
“My wife and I are foodies. For the past five years, this is our favorite restaurant in Connecticut, worth every penny. The tables may be small and crowded and the wine selection is very limited, but flavors are amazing, as is the variety of unexpected choices. We're hooked on some dishes, but I encourage you to explore the entire menu. You won't be disappointed.“
“Great restaurant situated right off Ethan Allen Highway. I ordered pickup with my family from there. Most of the food traveled very well and the portions were very large. I think the only thing that didn't really keep was the fried calamari. From what I recall my pickup experience wasn't the most stellar. It happened to be very busy when I came in so I was stood there for about 5 - 10 minutes waiting to pickup the food. However, I do not blame anyone in the restaurant for this happening, I had a pleasant experience overall despite the small wait.Parking: Parking lot is there but it is very tight for larger vehicles and while it is crowded. The lot is fairly small but still has room to park vehicles in two "rows" with space in between to drive. Please note: the way to get in is one way only. The way to get out is around the back and off a side street.“
“We stumbled on this restaurant while staying T EVEN hotel. Had a wonderful dinner on Saturday night. It was so good we retuned the next day for lunch. Presentation, subtle flavors, great service. We would come back to Norwalk just to eat there again ;).“
“I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pizza here, not to mention how lightning quick it was prepared. The pesto pie was fantastic. Oh yea, the beer! Beer selection is vast, can find anything from a porter to a pilsner to a red ale. The nitro stout was delightful, so much so that I had to double up on it. Nice outdoor area with a fire pit for when it gets cold and various other indoor areas to sit (including some cool, old fashioned pinball machines). Highly recommend!“
“This was our first time dining at The Whelk! The food was so flavorful and fulfilling! We started with chilled shrimp, roasted oysters, and the deviled eggs. We split the broccoli and fish/chips and it was very savory. My mouth was watering as I took every bite! We also had a tropical mezcal drink and it was absolutely delicious. The almond cake and chamomile tea was top notch. Our waitress Nicole was so sweet and attentive. We will definitely return!!“
“Had a great time with my 2 kids under 5. Staff is very kid friendly, brought out crayons and coloring papers for them and pizza was delish.Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating to kids. My girls were very busy coloring their pages that they brought out“
“The food and drinks were excellent. I had the half chicken with potatoes and broccoli and it was great. I ate at the bar and the bartender was very attentive and helpful. Restaurant was lively but not loud, just right. Will be back when I return to Stamford.“
“You know, I have been looking for a great place to get a burrito. Typically they are just rice and beans, and tend to be underwhelming. But at Taco Tequila, I was surprised. I went for lunch, and our waiter, also likely the owner, did a great job of explaning some of the menu and with some questions we had. I went with some wings (buffalo) and the burrito (against my better judgement). The wings were great. They were hot and cooked well, and flavored well. They may not have been the BEST wings I have had, but you wouldn't expect that at a place that specializes in tacos. The burrito was excellent, pastor with pineapple. It was large, with cheese, rice, beans, pico. The lunch special came with tortilla chips, and they laid out 4 sauces including sour cream on the table. The ranch option, green and red salsas were a nice addition to make the burrito even more amazing. It was a great burrito, and hit the spot. It was a nice option to have so close by, and I look forward to paying them another visit!“
“Was looking for a pizza place in town that had wood fire pizza ovens with thicker crust. This place is awesome! The pizza was delicious, we had the mushroom pizza (New England) I think? And then we had the fried calamari and the crispy cauliflower, which was my favorite! It's not a huge restaurant though, it's smaller but they do have a patio as well. The service was friendly and quick. We will definitely come back again when we are in town!“
“Excellent Local Bar in the heart of Stamford with friendly Staff and Patrons. A great place to come watch all the sports, they always have the sound on, including all european Soccer, Rugby and even the Dart championships & Golf of a Sunday. Excellent parking but I never recommend driving as I often stay longer than anticipated. Regulars play great music on the Jukebox and I think late on Fridays/Saturdays they have a DJ. All in all a great bar- everyone makes you feel at home.“
“This place has consistently been a bedrock of good food and ambiance in Norwalk. Happy to see it's still doing well with all those things that make it great. The food is awesome ?, portion size is good, prices are fair and the table service is excellent.“
“Food was SO SO GOOD my husband and I ate until we couldn’t anymore. The service was great, our waitress was very attentive and took good care of us. Definitely will be coming back here after the aquariumParking: Free parking in the back of the building!“
“My wife and I ordered take-out from Tacombi. We had been to one in Jersey city a long time ago and recalled it was quite delicious. So we were eager to try it when it came to Westport. To our delight the food was delicious. I had a Birria Taco Plato, I thought it was flavorful the beef did not disappoint maybe wish there was more. I like how they package it for take-out. My wife had the fish taco and shrimp taco. I tried shrimp taco, it had a very bold flavor that catchs the back sides of the tounge (highly recommend). We also ordered corn esquites, best way to eat corn. Their Totopos (tortilla chips) are addicting nice crunch goes well with guacamole. We also chicken quesidilla, which was also pleasant maybe could have used more cheese. I look forward to dining in as the weather gets better.“
“I have have been coming here lately for the last 6 months taking my father here for lunch. Cherry Street has been a locals favorite for many years. The food has been consistently great and as advertised. The service is excellent and always makes you feel welcome and like a local. If you are looking for an excellent bar and grill this is the place.“
“Dorian, you gotta adjust your attitude and get a reality check. Who walks into a bar 5 minutes before closing and wants to open a tab when the entire staff has been working all day and wants to go home. Think about others before feeding into your drinking problem. The bar tender Nico who was photographed in Dorian’s post is by far the only reason I come to station house. He is the best bartender hands down in Norwalk and the close by areas. Extremely polite, caring, remembers everyone’s name and on top of all of this he is also so handsome!“
“We eat here at least once a month. It's a great place to go on the water and have drink and sit out side during the summer. The steamed clams are why we go.They are amazing. Service is fabulous. Cod is really good. Steak is pretty good. Fish are all pretty good. In general the food is good. The place is on the water and it's a lovely view. Everyone knows everybody and is really friendly. You feel like your eating at your mom's house.“
“Our friends recently moved into this area, and this is our second time here and will not be our last. We are here and it was delicious. The smash burger is oh so messy, but oh so worth it. My chicken sandwich was grilled to perfection, and it was a generous sandwich, enough to share. They have award winning wings, and I can see why, they are very unique and delicious. You should really give them a go, especially the PB & J coating. Staff are super nice, and we had to leave just as an awesome two piece band started up, and they sounded great. Can’t wait to see it in the summer.“
“Excellent neighborhood restaurant combining the best of B.J. Ryan's & B.J. Ryan's BANC House with the former Partners Cafe. Their wait staff is excellent and will make you feel right at home and part of the family in no time. The pizza is recommended but they have other great items on the menu as well (French Onion soup is great if you want something light to tide you over, though I also love their pub burger). It will become your favorite East Norwalk spot in no time.Parking: They have a few spots outside around the restaurant but there is ample parking on the street as well (which is free).“
“Great customer service, owners are the best (super kind and never fail to put their customers first). Food is great. The soba noodles, hot spicy ramen, and the steak teriyaki are my favorites. Really good atmosphere and always a good time.“
“Fun time with family and friends. Elliott and staff where amazing and very accommodating.Vegetarian options: Yes plenty to choose from.Dietary restrictions: Notify your server.Parking: Large parking lot.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome and kids menu great.Wheelchair accessibility: Elevator available to the second floor.“
“Very good tasting food served in an elegant “New England type” dining room. French/ American cuisine. Among the appetizers, Deviled Eggs and Smoked Trout Rillettes were very good. The special ‘soup of the day' Celery Root Veloute was very tasty. Among the entrees, Olive oil poached Halibut and Pan-seared Scallops were very good. Among the desserts, Crème Brûlée and Cheesecake were good. Good wine list with some good wine-by-the glass options. Good service.“
“Amazing place, As soon as we walk in we got seated immediately and the atmosphere was amazing the smell of the food was already making me so hungry so as we got seated a waiter came up to us and was super polite and even gave my little sister a coloring sheet. We ordered a 10 piece wing, garlic lobster noodle, and a 20oz steak with mashed potatoes. The Wings was so so so so so delicious and was spicy and sweet with ranch and it was delicious, The lobster noodle was better, with butter and crispy string and lobster it was amazing and the steak was spectacular it was so juicy, and the mashed potatoes with the house cause with also so good, I hope I come back here.COME TO THIS PLACE NOW“
“I was at Bedford Hall today for a Good Friday lunch with family and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The staff were amazing, making sure the kids were comfortable and everybody had what they needed. The food was excellent and I have been getting messages all evening saying how much all my family enjoyed today.Thank you for the hard work, will be back on a regular basis.“
“Welcome to my favorite Irish Pub in Stamford CT. I love this place, the bartenders HUSTLE and they all treat you as if your the only person in the bar!!! The food is amazing, I would eat her everyday if I could. And the ambiance is just what you would expect for an Irish bar. The ceiling is so cool, they definitely took the time in decorating this place and it's always changing !!!! The owners are so friendly and heart warming.... Just a lovely hometown bar. Worth every penny !“
“Pizza crusts are phenomenal. Slightly blackened, soft, yet cooked through. Toppings are inventive and great tasting. But they're only getting 4 stars. Why? The service is slow, and poorly managed. We waited too long for our pies to arrive. Initially we were given the wrong pie and then waited another 10 minutes for the correct pies to arrive. We also noticed another table of two patrons had only one pie arrive and then they had to another 10 minutes for their second pie. Our waiter seemed to want to talk cocktails and work the bar rather than return to our table. We had to ask another waiter for the check... and then take our payment.Bad night? I'm not so sure. On a prior visit for take-out, my phoned-in order still wasn't ready after the 45 minutes that was suggested.... And it took another 15 minutes for my pies to be cooked. They seem to have a real issue with scheduling and timing - which is difficult to understand - they have a pizza oven and they're making pizza, they're not stabilizing the Leaning Tower of Pisa.I'm torn. Pies are great, but the waiting, er, grates.“
