“This is a warm and wonderful place- every time. We opted to sit outside with old friends who are visiting the area. Outside by the river is magical at this lovely place, where the food is so well executed, the staff reliable and honest, and the mood warm and kind. Although the noise level within the restaurant can be loud given its space as a prior schoolhouse, the outdoor space is quiet and the pace appropriate. The food always so reliably excellent, and the waitstaff seems to be solid and always there- that is, they seem to keep staff who seem happy to be there. A minor modification was asked for with one special tonight which was expertly executed. The food hot, the wine list reliable. This place is magical and is worth a visit!“

“Great food and service, Server Garwen was awesome. Food , fish and chip and well done sweat potato..wife had special tortelini bolognese however served without ITALIAN BREAD ! Italian dinner all need bread and butter, even if just bread sticks and butter. Bathroom only singles.. in today world make them uni sex.. i waited 5 minutes.. wife was wondering where was I..lady room was open but cant do that.. make them uni sex..big bar a dinner area. , we each had two rounds of drinks , beer and wine“

“Greer is one of the best restaurants in Norwalk. Greer is the owner of the restaurant and if you are familiar with Norwalk, she used to own peaches, which was another amazing southern restaurant. Greer and her partner Kendall are amazing people and that is reflected in their staff. Everyone here has that sweet southern charm that puts a smile on your face. The atmosphere of her new restaurant is lively and classy. They have a wonderful bar and tall windows to let the sunlight in. The food is absolutely fantastic. The first time I came here was for a team happy hour where I got to taste many of the appetizers as well as the entrées. There was not one thing that I did not love. The standouts are their Duckfat chicken wings, which are confit chicken wings in duck fat, that then fried and covered in a deliciously spicy Cajun seasoning. These are the best wings in Norwalk. I am in love with their burger. I could argue that this is also one of the best burgers in Norwalk. If you have never been here, do not walk run.“

“As a former Norwalk resident, I was thrilled to rediscover the local food scene during a recent visit. I stumbled upon Capuli, a gem that apparently opened last spring. If only I had known about it before moving away!

The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly, making me feel right at home. But it was the food that truly stole the show. I opted for the taco sampler, and every single bite was a flavor explosion. The chicken tacos, in particular, were a standout. Juicy, flavorful, and far superior to any I've had in the area.

I also couldn't resist trying the grilled steak and Birria tacos. Both were absolutely delicious, with a comforting, homemade taste. I can't wait to return and explore more of the menu“

Parking: Pull right to the back and park. In the summer time you can grab a cold Greek frappe coffee and walk to the back dock to the boats and crew practicing.“

“We came from Maine for the Soundside music festival and stayed in Norwalk. We ate here twice while in town for the weekend! We left our credit card on accident the first night and they held it for us! We’d forgotten coffee creamer for our air BnB so we asked the bar tender if we could buy a cup of cream. He gave it to us! Melissa was our waitress and she was great! Super friendly and great service. Over all AMAZING food and service!!! If we ever travel to Norwalk again we will definitely be back for some grub!“

“The North Star is a great restaurant. The owner, David, is very friendly and runs a good service team. The dark interior creates a great ambience, especially on winter evenings, and Thursdays when there is a live band on are particularly good. Outdoor seating in the summer is good, provided you have applied plenty of mozzie spray. There is a good wine list too. But the food is excellent; I particularly recommend the goat cheese or endive & pear salads as appetizers, and our kids love the truffle mac & cheese. For main courses I particularly recommend the Chilean sea bass. This is one of the few restaurants I think it worthwhile to save some room for dessert, too.

My one quibble would be that the menu doesn't change much. Introducing more seasonal variation would be great, but perhaps David thinks: if it ain't broke, why fix it?“

The Granola Bar is THE place to go for exciting, healthy and vibrant dishes that are on a whole different level than your average deli. The prices are a bit high in comparison but you get what you pay for. Whether you are vegetarian, paleo, keto or even on the “See Food” diet like me, the wonderful and charismatic staff are always willing to work with your food needs, preferences, allergies etc. From fresh warming granola to delicious eggs, Nutella coffees, wraps, sandwiches, Nutella Coffees, organic teas, deserts and and Nutella coffees, this place will satisfy your every nutritional need. “Stopped here on the way back from NYC. First time. Ordered standard stuff like cobb salad and Park Ave stake sandwich. Everything was great and even simple thing like salad was really good. The sandwich was made with very, very good meat. But the thing about this place is some of the obscure dishes that probably only the locals know about. Saw table next to us order this special bacon that they roast with a torch right at the table. Another table ordered waffle and chicken and that looked really good. Will definitely stop here again when in the area. Our server was Melanie and she was great. Very grateful for a wonderful brunch.“

“I used to go here quite often many moons ago, but for some reason haven't been there in quite a while. But was meeting an old friend who lives in New Caanan, and we chose this place. I opted for the Fish-n-Chips which was pretty tasty, but somewhat oily. But I ate every bit of it. The atmosphere is very "dive" bar ish, which is a bit of a charm in itself. We were able to eat our food and enjoy a couple of beers with some good conversation without them trying to turn over the table. After all these years CSE still has tasty food, and I'm sure I'll be back.“

“If you’re looking for a delightful dining experience, The Benjamin in Ridgefield, Ct., is a must-visit. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable, thanks in large part to our headwaiter, Gerardo, who ensured we felt welcomed and attended to throughout our meal.

We started with a variety of appetizers, which set a high bar for the rest of the meal. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. For the main courses, I opted for the Long Island Duck, which was expertly cooked and incredibly tender, while my husband enjoyed the Beef Short Ribs—rich, savory, and equally satisfying.

To finish off our meal, we indulged in the vanilla crème brûlée for dessert. It was simply out of this world—creamy, with a perfectly caramelized top that added just the right amount of sweetness.

Overall, our experience at The Benjamin was exceptional, and we wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for delicious food and outstanding service in a warm and inviting atmosphere.“

“The best restaurant we've been to in a long time!

Our waitress was attentive, efficient, and friendly. The appetizers (jamón iberico and burrata) were incredible, and drinks were also very delicious. I ordered the half chicken with grits for an entrée and it was extremely flavorful and cooked perfectly.

The only thing that slightly disappointed me was the dessert. We ordered the chocolate ganache with pistachio gelato. The ganache had flaked salt on top and was too salty for my taste.“

“I had a fantastic meal at The Lantern in Ridgefield, Connecticut, with my mother and stepfather. We were in a bit of a rush to get to a show, but the experience was seamless from start to finish. I opted for the Cubano with fries, which was absolutely delicious. My mother had the chicken Caesar, and my stepfather enjoyed the fish and chips along with a pint of pilsner and a glass of Dewar’s—everything was hot, fresh, and full of flavor.
