“5 ⭐️We went here to celebrate my daughter’s graduation from Sacred Heart University. Their location in Trumbull near the college was over an hour wait. Found out there was a second (original ) location in Stratford, On the phone they told us to come right over, they were waiting for us. When we arrived they welcomed us with open arms, were super friendly and super attentive. They treated my daughter like a super star. The food was delicious and the cocktails were so creative and tasty. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.“

“This place by far is the best burger joint in the Valley. Easily. My favorite is the cutlet sandwich, my mother in law swears by the fried seafood platter, my husband loves the bacon cheeseburgers. We all love the chili dogs and their fries. If you’re a morning person, their bacon egg and cheese is the best I’ve ever had. Plus, Pricila and Sam are so incredibly nice. Highly recommend.“

“Spent seven hours at the baseball fields on father's day and couldn't have been happier to have an hour to grab lunch with my boys. Ordered like ten items a bunch of drinks and it was 50$. Fish and chips looked great, kid said it was awesome. Fried zucchini always my favorite. Wife got a side of fried shrimp. Its just perfect every time. It is what it is. An honest fresh cooked meal quick for cheap. Thank u to the people who work there yall the mvps..super busy and they crushed it. Its a better burger than 5 guys fight me.

“My parents and I just stumbled upon this restaurant as we were looking for lunch along our trip to Maine. I am glad that we found it as I had never had Haitian food before and was glad to try it here. I got the Poul Nan Sos Meal (Stew Chicken) with the Diri Djon Djon rice. The chicken was crispy and cooked in a delicious and spicysauce. It came with plantains and a spicy cole slaw. The Diri Djon Djon rice had a great texture and flavor, unlike any rice that I have ever had! Definitely recommend this dish and restaurant, we hope to be back in the future.“

“First, to call SOB a hidden gem would be doing it a disservice, per all the five-star reviews! The better term is off the beaten path, but undoubtedly worth a purposeful trip. I am admittedly a bit of a sandwich snob, and Michelle's porchetta special did NOT disappoint. As a matter of fact, she was so genuinely charming and sincere in her description of it, that all three of us ordered the exact same thing, and the full-size grinder at that. This was a BIG sandwich, even by my standards, and the components were all top-notch. Somehow, the meat was still juicy and tender, even sliced thin and griddled on the flat top. The provolone was melted nicely, and the marinated peppers had just enough bite to balance the richness. She gave us a cup of au jus for dipping as well, which was greatly appreciated. Taste and value aside, Michelle may just be the start of the show. Her hospitable kindness and welcoming spirit made the food even better, to the effect that we were already planning our next visit before we even left. The quality of the food made here is second to none, and the value for what you pay can't be beat. I always order the house salad with grilled chicken & my co workers love the chicken breakfast burrito, but we have tried pretty much everything on the menu and it is all equally as good. The Village Cafe team is top notch and I am so thankful to have such a wonderful place nearby.“

“We were in the area for a celebration of life. The rooms are newly renovated. There was a slight odor in the corridors from the paint and carpets, but the rooms were wonderful. The Bistro staff was friendly and enjoyable. The food was good, but not a lot of options.“
