“Bills has been a staple in the area for years. And I can’t remember when I have thrown in an order on a busy day and they have it waiting perfectly as I ordered. I would much rather go to Bill Drive In over McDonald’s across the street!!“
“Our kids recommended this place so we hopped in our car and drove an hour to try some of their Mac and Cheese varieties. I love me some good Mac and Cheese so it was a no brainer. Before we got there I imagined they had a standard base they used and just added stuff. They have around 2 dozen varieties and it's NOT just toppings thrown on simple Mac and Cheese. Some had different cheeses, different toppings and definitely different flavors. We tried four different menu items. Each is available in three generous portions. Some of the many varieties include Mexican, Cuban, Philly cheese steak and meatball. Our two favorite of the four we tried were the Mac Attack and Mac Daddy. Like I said we had four small samples, ate our full and had plenty to bring home. It's a small dining room- maybe five tables. Final comment- check them out they are worth it. And please open one up in Middletown.“
“Excellent food, very friendly staff. They know what they are doing and do it well You won't be disappointed with there excellent "Beer Selection" either . If you are not sure what to have ask the server. They are patient and can help you to chose something wonderful!“
“Well from start the staff was overly friendly and service was OUTSTANDING and food was delicious and bathroom was spotless this was my first time there I have already recommended this place I truly believe I found a little spot of heaven I just want everyone to know how I feel honestly I shared this experience with my wife I ate crispy chicken my wife ate Swiss cheese on Rye and fresh chicken soup“
“My husband and I went there on a Friday night and it was a nice venue, but we waited between appetizers and main dish for over 45 minutes. What we thought would be a 1 hour meal turned into an over 2 hour meal, just waiting for our entrée. although the food was good we probably wouldn't go back unless we want to sit and wait.“
“The food is yummy, and they'll hand out samples of their soup of the day and when I was in there, they put a top on my sample to take it with me, since I had a mask on. I really appreciated that. The soup was BANGIN, just on the salty side (but it was kielbasa and bacon so that's to be expected, frankly.) I love coming here. I look forward to the day they'll be taking cards, is all.“
“Tom,Love his tattoos! It was our first time going there and we definitely will love to come back. Tom, definitely did an amazing job when it came to serving us, he was tentative, friendly, respectful. We had the best time ever and the food (we had salmon, a lot of fries, chicken sandwich, 2 drinks). 10/10!“
“Through he grapevine I heard Dew Drop Inn had the BEST wings in Connecticut, so I made my way here to try them out myself!Atmosphere/Appearance: Let me tell you. It's a windy road to get here. Lol. But set right at a very non-traditional intersection of North Avenue & Roosevelt Drive is this gem. The outside doesn't look like much at all and there's maybe 6 parking spots to the left of the restaurant then there's another business across the street that MAY allow you to park there. At your own risk of course. Once on the inside the spot looks super modern and energetic. The back wall is all brick, the walls are painted with solid colors and there's a lil' easter egg to the right of the front entrance of The Incredible Hulk busting through the wall holding a plate of wings. Lol.Service: We sat right at the bar and the owner Jason was there so he was serving us directly. He was funny, accommodating and just was a genuine good time. Hiba, Meghan and Rachel were also very accommodating.Food: So while here I tried 7 different flavors of the 126 that are offered. I'll break them down one by one...Pink Peppercorn Lemon Thyme: They came out of the kitchen SO HOT. Lol, so be careful not to burn your mouth. They were AMAZING. Deliciously salty from the Himalayan sea salt, lemony and rounded out with some good Earthy flavors.Pink Peppercorn Lemon Curd: This is basically everything I described above, but with a delicious sauce on top. The sauce was a little honey-strawberry-lemon sweetness that complemented the wing excellently.Cilantro Lime Tahini: The cilantro flavor was an excellent base, but this may sound strange... but it almost tasted like refried beans. There was also a good cheesy flavor involved as well. It was so different and executed very well. Not a spicy wing for those that can't handle it.Cajun Garlic Butter Bacon: These were easily the tastiest "looking" wings due to all of the bacon pieces on top and they smelled simply incredible. Again, temperature hot, but these tasted like they were cooked IN a garlic oil. My goodness. The bacon added a meaty, hearty, salty, bacon-y flavor that just went well with the garlic and Cajun seasoning.Truffalo: This one is easy. Truffle and Buffalo mixed together. Excellent. I'm truffle-biased so of course I'd love these, but I could've used more truffle if I'm being honest.Strawberry Habanero: These were refreshing.. The strawberry flavor was very prevalent and it reminded me of a sweet & sour from a Chinese restaurant, buy elevated. I didn't get a lot of heat from these despite the name, but I loved it.Ghostly Habanero: While I didn't find the heat in the last flavor, it was all here. This was the hottest flavor on the menu at the time and rightfully so. These wings were gritty, sweet from the peppers and the heat was INSTANT. The habanero gave that initial jumpstart of heat, but the ghost pepper is the one that ramps up over time. It took about 3 minutes for the heat to FULLY kick in, but it definitely did. I teared up, I was sweating and this is not a wing I could eat a whole bunch of. Delicious though!Peanut Butter & Jelly: These were the hottest temperature wings we've had. Lol. Peanut butter is so incredibly dense so it just held all of that heat in. These were served with fluff as a dipping sauce. They were savory and sweet. Done very well.Value: Chicken wings are already expensive on their own, so adding this level of skillset to cook them, the materials and all brings an order of 6 to $10.99 for "Basic Flavors". "Not So Basic" is 6 for $11.75 and "Basically Ridiculous" as well as "Dessert" wings are 6 for $11.99. You can of course order them in bigger denominations, but there are 100% worth it.In conclusion, sadly, I haven't been back here since June of 2022, but I want to come back SO BAD. It's just literally an hour away from where I live. Lol. I will be back Jason! Thank you for everything.“
“Great place to eat at. Prices are great especially for the quality of the food! The owner is very nice and passionate. The restaurant itself is very clean. 10/10 recommend eating here! I wish they were open on Sunday as it’s our last day visiting we would have definitely stopped again! I wish we had a place like this in PA. We will definitely stop again when we come to visit family again.“
“Ever since moved here, this has been my go-to Italian restaurant. They offer a classic italian menu and seasonal cocktail list. The service is top-notch, and they can almost always accommodate whatever requests you may have. Even after spending my time in NYC I still would take this hidden gem over anything else I have had. I find their seafood in particular to be a cut above the rest. If you haven't tried it yet, its a must.“
“Supporting local businesses is what the “American dream” is.. the small American kitchen nailed it.Everything had seasoning and flavor. You can clearly tell pride and love is what drives this business! Came all the way down from Norwich just to try it, and it was well worth it!Thanks again!“
“First time coming to Wellingtons restaurant and it was a wonderful experience. I don't usually give over 4 stars but this was well deserved. We got lost due to a map issue but after speaking to a employee they helped guide me to the correct lo“
“If your looking for a authentic feeling, sit down restaurant in the Sandy Hook area, then look no further. With exceptional service and food cooked to perfection you really get it all here. I highly recommend the short rib dumplings as an appetizer to show they mean business.Parking: Roughly 4 spots in front of restaurant and 30 - 40 in the back.Kid-friendliness: Great selection of food for kids.“
“Every meal is perfect! I have tried just about everything on the menu and have never been disappointed! My wife has quite a few food allergies, and between the communication with the waitstaff and the chef, her meals come out amazing! After each meal we always finish up at the bar with a cocktail. The bartenders creat a different drink special every day. And let me just say... sooo good! So this restaurant is a must try! You will be coming back again and again!Dietary restrictions: The chef can create a meal specifically to your restrictions. Don't be shy to let your server know. They take it very seriously.“
“I love the grilled chicken Cesar I like the Jay Grill burger it’s so amazing Caesar chicken salad dioblo burger is so delicious and buffalo wings thank you jaygrill I will definitely come againKid-friendliness: The music was kid friendly, and so were the servants everything was nice and fun and I feel like I’m at home“
“Their location is close to where I work and it has turned into one of our favorite places! The staff is great and the food is so good. Not going to lie....sometimes we order from them for breakfast AND lunch. Their breakfast burritos are so good and filling, the carne tacos and carne quesadillas are amazing. I mean...sometines I will have a quesadilla for breakfast!“
“Me and my man go here on dinner dates often and it’s amazing every time. The food is really good and all the bartenders are really nice. We usually get Brie who’s always super nice and we never wait long for our food. I highly recommend this place!!“
“The Farmhouse is the best restaurant around. This co-owned establishment has split the management, one owner on the front end with the other being head chef in the back and it is reflected in the quality of everything they do.From the highest of standards reflected in their sourcing of the ingredients and the preparation of the food all of the way to the service, accomodations and atmosphere I sincerely couldn't say nicer things. Top notch in every way.My husband and I had our after wedding dinner here and front end owner, Michelle who is ever present made everything set for us, reserving their back room with no issue and ultra accommodating to any changes we made to our party number/requests. The service for our group of 26 was on point and the food was exceptional. We have already been back and trust it as our regular, special place. Do yourself a favor and have a meal here! Thanks again to All of You at The Farmhouse ❤️Wheelchair accessibility: My father who cannot handle stairs/steps/inclines was able to handle the logistics of The Farmhouse with ease. It is a straight shot from the parking lot and handicapped spot with no curb of any kind to get into the easily accessible building.“
“2nd time here for dinner, and did not disappoint. Swordfish entree was delicious, and calamari & tuna tartare appetizers as well. The special Manhattan cocktail (“Night at the Roxbury”) was absolutely excellent. Great overall experience & very good service“
“Awesome place, extremely friendly, thier whole belly clams are the best in CT we have been there 4 times in the past year every time We where extremely happy that we went. We are bringing some family members there this coming Friday love it there.“
“I had never been. I went with some friends for Spiritual Night. There were five psychics there for readings, etc. It was a great experience. The restaurant is in an old bank building and is said to be haunted! The food as well as the service was wonderful!“
“The receptionist from my job brought in the Shelton Business Paper and told me about a new pizza place that was opening in Shelton. She knows I love pizza so she brought it into work to share it with me. If you follow me then you know my kids and I love pizza so we had to visit. Upon entering the restaurant, my daughter and I first noticed how clean the restaurant was. The first thing that pops out at you is the animated wall print on the wall. I loved the fact that it was bold, bright colored, but not too much to overwhelm the customers. We we're greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant and I even met the owner. He gave me a tour of the restaurant since it was my first time visiting. There are three interlocking restaurants that he owns which is Parker Pizza, Fatty Patty, and Parker's Eatery and Bar. As a customer, you can finish your pizza and walk towards the back of the restaurant and have a drink at Parker's Eatery and Bar. What a cool idea!! Parker Pizza also has self serve beer machines in the restaurant if you like beer. My daughter and I ordered a cheese pizza with half pepperoni. The pizza was thin and the cheese pull was the best. The pizza was a little oily but the flavor was definitely there. The sauce was flavorful and the crust had that buttery taste but in my opinion the crust was too thin. All in all, it was a good pizza. The customer service was excellent as I got a tour of the restaurant and the young gentleman that was are server was great. Great attitude and very pleasant. The pizza is good, the atmosphere is great, and they provided great customer service.“
“We tried for the first time last night. I had called earlier in the day for a reservation, but when we arrived it was not in the system. They nonetheless found room for us on a crowded night. The menu had a lot of appealing items, it was hard to decide and we were happy with everything we ordered. Service was great. It is a bit open room that is a bit loud. We expected that so it didn't bother us but just adding it to the review for folks who prefer a quieter night out.“
“The Barnwood is our go to for occasions as well just to eat out. The wait staff are very good . Our orders always arrive promptly, and as ordered. In addition to a well rounded menu there always are wonderful specials. We have never had a meal that we didn't like. The chef is inventive and steps outside of the ordinary with fish and meat selections. The only negative is that the acoustics are dreadful making it noisy when the restaurant fills up.Also the tables for two are small.“
“Love the ambiance of this social-inspiring atmosphere. Televisions were on the current games, the menu was impressive with it's quality and variety. Great beer selection and value! I'd say this is a must stop if you're looking for a social spot in town.“
“Great first time there. Drinks were good. My major problem was that everything on the menu sounded good and I had a hard time deciding. I ended up choosing the cod sandwich and I can tell you they didn't try to cheat me. It was almost intimidating how large the sandwich was. It was delicious and based on how it looked another patron walked in asked what it was and ordered the same thing. Can't wait for another visit to try something else“
“Awesome food and great craft beer list. Very knowledgeable staff about craft beers and wine. Great food and and a great value. Very cute, friendly waitreses. Truly great beer selection, not just the usual 5 different hazy NE IPA most places put up as their craft beer. There was 1 Belgian, 2 Germans, a bourbon barrel aged beer, as well as few Excellent Local beers. Do yourself a flavor, go for the beer and stay for the delicious food.Highly recommended!“
“Longhorn Shelton,CT. Is very good! Special thanks to Dotti (Dorothy Z) for excellent service! The bread, salad w ranch, steak, loaded baked potato (never ran out of loaded) perfect timing, great temperature, overall amazing! Slight ding on the atmosphere score, the overhead music was not traditional country or western. Needs more Texas! Bob Wills or Ernest Tub, even Willie Nelson, would have been better. Thanks Carlos GM, you have a good thing going. See you all again soon.Parking: Lots of free parking“
“Great River was the perfect place to have our wedding. The team made our wedding day perfect. Chelsea and Carly are as helpful as it gets and hustled all day! Even our photographer commented how most venues are not as involved and diligent in making sure every detail goes as planned. And the FOOD was amazing! Our tasting with Matt a few months prior was one of our favorite days and the food tasting every bit as good on the wedding day. Many guests told us it was the best wedding food they've ever had. We could not be any happier with Chelsea, Carly and the entire team at Great River and would recommend this venue to anyone!“
“First time here, liked it a lot. Comfortable interior in black and white, plenty of seating.Had an excellent Cheeseburger, 8oz perfectly seared handmade patty on Brioche Roll dripping with melted cheese. Well-built and tasty. Fries were as good as the burger. Can't get a better one in Stratford till Riley's opens. They're on the same level. Can't wait to try rest of menu.Lunch is $20, appetizer or side, main dish and a drink. Pretty good deal. Ample convenient parking.“
“I didn't eat. They often have 4 or so bands play on one night, and the performances are always great. This place supports new bands. Some can be loud or not your taste of music, but it's worth supporting musicians everywhere! Check the schedule.“
“We are so excited that Monty's is open again for the season! Tonight's St. Patrick's Day prix fixe menu had some creative and traditional options from which to choose-hubby had boxty & “best he's ever had” prime rib, & I really enjoyed Caesar salad & planked salmon. The salad included roast tomatoes which elevates it from the usual! The service at Monty's is outstanding-our terrific server was Christina C, and all the additional staff we encountered were friendly and engaging. We look forward to more dinners here, in particular outside when the weather allows!“
“The lodge reminds me a lot of cheers! You walk in, and everyone starts to know your name… The weight staff is always very friendly and often strike up a conversation which I find something special these days. The food options are always great, and there are always a few specials on the list that catch someone’s eye. The draft beer choices are always rotating and changing which is great; often locally sourced. The bar area is always bustling, and offers a free pool table for patrons. There is also a large covered outdoor dining area for fair weather eating.“
“Party of 3. We shared 4 appetizers which were all exceptional. Calamari, octopus, crab cakes with Brussel sprouts and a salad. Followed by dessert. Presentation of food was terrific. The service was prompt and attentive. I'd definitely return.“
“The food is always good, the staff is attentive without hovering, always pleasant and nice. Good menu with house specials, always perfectly cooked with great presentatio, not pretensious but not boring. The crowd has always been relaxed whenever I have been there. They have a nice patio. Plenty of parking. Prices are on par for what you would expect and the quality is always high.“
“Great place, great food, staff very nice. Only reason didn't give 5 stars all around was atmosphere-more of a sports bar atmosphere not really my thing and not from the area so felt kinda like a newbie. Service was a bit slow but it was pretty busy. Fries were cold when I got them but they made a whole new huge batch and they were absolutely delicious! Best drink and food prices anywhere I've found! We will definitely be back!“
“The Bridge House offers a strong, upscale food menu with a focus on seafood. The apps and entrees are well presented and taste great. The lobster rolls were hands down the best item of the afternoon. Our only complaint is that we would like to see a stronger, local beer offering.“
“We have been going to Olde Blue Bird Inn for years and love it. Our family and houseguests enjoy the charming atmosphere and delicious food. The staff is accommodating and friendly.Parking: I have always found a place to parkKid-friendliness: I see a lot of young families there on Sundays.“
“Had a great lunch at Sitting Duck Tavern today. The decor is dark but interesting. Our server was fantastic. I had fish and chips and a peach Sangria. Yes, they do have malt vinegar! Great beer batter, lots of fries, good slaw. The serving size was very generous and I took about half of it home. Hubby had a beer and the chicken sandwich, he ate every bite. They serve local craft beers.“
“Such a solid place to hang out. Huge drinks, very inexpensive, and great food that is served late. I must comment on the potato leek soup I ordered last night, with BACON - had never had it that way before, and it was excellent! This place is a routine stop for me. With Alfas closing, this place will be even more busy.“
“@Sandy B I am a Pacific Islander and a 5th Dan master belt in Tang Soo Do. What you witness was him talking to his girlfriend about her karate life. So you saying he is racist is uncalled for and insulting to a fellow Pacific Islander. I would suggest you learn the facts before you speak. My family and friends would continue to recommend Whiskey Barrel as it is a great establishment with great food and service. I want to thank the staff for all their hard work every single day.“
“My girlfriend and I can't praise Prime One Eleven enough!! We started with the crab cakes which were just fantastic. My girlfriend got the sirloin tips and mixed vegetables. The mashed potatoes beneath the sirloin tips were amazing. I ordered the OMG STEAK DIP..and OMG I MUST HAVE SAID OMG 10 TIMES!! IT WAS JUST PHENOMENAL. SO MUCH SEASONED TENDER STEAK. I NEVER SAW OR TASTED ANYTHING TO COMPARE. This restaurant is a TOTAL JEWEL. GOTTA GO IF YOU HAVEN'T AND WE WILL BE BACK!“
“Great place!! .?????and old RR Station with eclectic artwork. posters and photos.Since it was our first visit ... my wife and I had what started it. THE BURGERITTO and Black Manhattans...PERFECT.The unique menu along with great first impression, the 30 minutes to drive is worth it.This is bot a DIS.. Basic ingredients that are elevated for anyone!Tom and Maggie were great .Look forward to my next visit.“
“If you haven’t been here you’re missing one of the greatest values in dining on Rt 1 in Milford. He’s been here since 1964. The portions are generous and the menu has an abundance of selections. The prices are very reasonable and get this, the tables have white table cloths!Lassies’ roast beef is just outstanding. It’s his signature dish. With a fully stocked bar and terrific and very cute servers, (sorry to be non PC but they are) you’ve got to eat here at least once in your life. Better call for a reservation though; it’s always busy.It doesn’t look like much from the outside but man, this place is great.“
“Filets tips were amazing. The eggplant stack was good. It was a little loud but nice atmosphere. Service was ok little slow with drinks, they were just ok not amazing. I think he was new but very polite. Food came out fast.Above all I would totally go back!“
“I love you Stratford skillett. i love all you breakfasts. i LOVE YOUR COFFEE, I adore your hash, it is the best ever, EXCEPT, lately some one is adding chipotle seasoning in it and it is ruining the hash PLEASE STOP them from doing that . It has always a good breakfast why change it?Kid-friendliness: The kids are so busy eating they're fineWheelchair accessibility: It has a ramp and the threshold is low easy.“
“Cover two is a great spot to have a good meal in a fun atmosphere! BTW, the cheeseburger salad is un…….believable!! Best ever. The wings are always great, with lots of flavors to choose from. The place is hopping with families, kids out with their friends and lots of energy. Tons of TVs playing every sporting event you would want to watch. We go there frequently for a solid meal and great experience. Small observation: we were shorted a wing for takeout a couple times. No worries though, stuff happens when you are so busy, and we will be back again soon!“
“Consistency is the word here. They do what they do, how they do it, each and every time. I go there knowing with certainty, what I'm going to get will taste as it always does. That is important to me. I go that route to my Drs at least twice a month, and that is a staple for me for lunch. I like it.“
