“This pub is a Wilton staple. It's nestled in a quiet little nook in Wilton town center right by Norwalk river. The ambiance is warm, rustic and inviting. It's cozy. There is a bar in the center and tvs scattered around the walls. It's not too noisy yet not too quiet. The service is great. The servers are attentive and the food comes out reasonably quick. My husband and I both ordered burgers and we tore into them so quickly that I didn't get photos. The meat was cooked exactly as ordered, medium rare -flavorful and juicy. Mine had a fried egg over easy, bacon and cheddar on a toasted bun. It was amazing. My husband ordered the "Ripper" burger which was HUGE. He was stuffed and said it was delicious. They came with a choice of sides- fries, sweet potato fries or onion rings. Also delicious. This was not my first visit to Red Rooster Pub and it certainly won't be my last. Give it a try! There's another location in Ridgefield if that's closer for you, but I love the location of the Wilton one by the river.“
“This is the most legit Irish pub I’ve ever been to, the food and service is great. We ordered Irish Beers and Specialty Cocktails. And Angus burger was delicious and cooked to perfection!It was worth every penny and had me coming back a few days in a row while my family are in town.“
“Now upon pulling up to this little spot one doesn't get a great impression. Its a small parking spot for a small restuarant...when walking in the feel of the place is homey yet a bit cramped. For some strange reason there are two different entrances to this lil pub which presents a bit of a draft issue in the colder months with people coming in and out of either side...other than the ambiance leaving much to desire the food was pleasantly good. I ordered the black cat burger which was slightly reminiscent of a rueben sandwhich with rye toast for buns, swiss,grilled onion,russian dressin....it arrived assembled and cooked to order. Nice size patty that was juicy flavorful and fresh. The onion rings were sparse but decent and all in all I would say it was good, I think that I might try it again in the summer for a better overall review.Edit: came back around the way here and the burgers weren't as good as I rememberedThe cod was a massive piece which is a good value but made for a clunky sammich. All in all its good but nothing that will wow you over atm.“
