“Great restaurant situated right off Ethan Allen Highway. I ordered pickup with my family from there. Most of the food traveled very well and the portions were very large. I think the only thing that didn't really keep was the fried calamari. From what I recall my pickup experience wasn't the most stellar. It happened to be very busy when I came in so I was stood there for about 5 - 10 minutes waiting to pickup the food. However, I do not blame anyone in the restaurant for this happening, I had a pleasant experience overall despite the small wait.Parking: Parking lot is there but it is very tight for larger vehicles and while it is crowded. The lot is fairly small but still has room to park vehicles in two "rows" with space in between to drive. Please note: the way to get in is one way only. The way to get out is around the back and off a side street.“
“The place was packed and we were happy to get a table, as they don't take reservations. Drinks, food, service all very good. Keep in mind, it is basically a pub kinda place with many great food options. We had fun and enjoyed our dinners. We will return!“
“Very good tasting food served in an elegant “New England type” dining room. French/ American cuisine. Among the appetizers, Deviled Eggs and Smoked Trout Rillettes were very good. The special ‘soup of the day' Celery Root Veloute was very tasty. Among the entrees, Olive oil poached Halibut and Pan-seared Scallops were very good. Among the desserts, Crème Brûlée and Cheesecake were good. Good wine list with some good wine-by-the glass options. Good service.“
“I stopped at the ancient mariner to grab some fried clam strips to go. Folks running the place are very nice. The food was ready on time and delicious as expected because this place was recommended by people working in the area that I know. I will definitely be back here again in the future.“
“Don't believe the haters! First of all, ambience is perfectly great, definitely cozy but not cramped by any means. Staff was incredibly friendly throughout whole experience. We had a great waitress. Now the food was exceptional. We came for breakfast. I got the Tex mex omelet which was next level because the geniuses at the kitchen make it with goat cheese which really elevates this dish. My wife got smoked salmon Benedict. Now if you want to know if a diner has good breakfast, order a Benedict. If you get a poached egg with thick gravy on top, that's no good. If you get two perfect eggs with a delicious thin pale yellow hollandaise running down the sides, that's perfection. Needless to say, this place served the latter. It's great, try it!“
“Tasty burger place, with lots of other options like bison, chicken and some more unusual options, too. Lots of customization. Different types of buns/wraps, Lettuce instead of bread, a variety of toppings, etc. It’s been a varied crowd the couple times I have been there. Sometimes, it’s mostly adults, but I have also stopped in and been seated next to a group of 12 8-year olds and a couple moms. TVs might be playing cartoons, or sports.Happy Hour is 3-6, with 6 dollar margaritas and 1/2 off beers, I think. No food specials, though.Food has been quite good. Salads have been good quality, onion rings are top notch. Need to try the milkshakes.Pricey for burgers, but quality has been good, servers are attentive, and it’s a reliable option in the area.“
“I love this place.Great vibes, hot great food and excellent service.I would say get the chicken wings and fish and chips.Burgers and Cubano Bomb as well.Enjoy a phenomenal evening in the center of Ridgefield without the pretentious shenanigans!“
“We had dinner this past weekend and the experience was phenomenal. We started with mark twain cocktails & burrata . The special Artic Char entree was delicious! Our server Patrick was so sweet and attentive! We will definitely be back ?“
