“We did the Wednesday prix fixe menu and it was amazing. It truly felt to be like I was eating art. I don't know the name of the chef, but you can tell they are exceptional. The attention to detail in each dish made it obvious the chef is passionate about what they create. The flavors were unique, the atmosphere upscale yet comforting, and the service was lovely. We had a wonderful time.“

“My husband and I tried Bora Restaurant for the first time last night. It was excellent!! The food was delicious, the decorations were beautiful, the atmosphere was warm and cozy, all of the staff that we encountered were young but surprisingly all so very well mannered, polite and very nice!! Our waiter was Alton, he did a wonderful job and always addressed my husband as Sir. We would definitely recommend this restaurant!!“

“Absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish. The Waveny Tavern is a beautiful addition to New Canaan. The food was exceptional fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and beautifully presented. The service was equally impressive: warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling overbearing. Chris the manager was top notch from greeting us at the door to checking in on us and explaining About Chef Peter Kelly.

The atmosphere really sets this restaurant apart. It’s elegant and polished while still feeling comfortable and inviting. You can tell there is a tremendous amount of attention to detail throughout the entire experience.

From the moment we arrived until we left, everything felt seamless. Great food, excellent hospitality, beautiful atmosphere, and a team that clearly cares about their guests. Definitely a place I’ll be returning to and recommending to friends and family. Five stars across the board.“

“This place is nothing short of amazing. We went on a recommendation of a friend for our wedding anniversary. As soon as we walked in we were treated like family. When they found out it was our anniversary they gave us a glass of champagne. The calamari was incredible. Not oily and so flavorful. The linguini fruit ti di mara was delicious. My wife had the special with clams and mussels and that too was delicious. They constantly checked on us and made us feel so welcome. For dessert we shared a Carrot cake and it was so fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back. Thank you making our anniversary special.“

“For a restaurant that is so close to 5 star you can literally taste it. They definitely try hard to give you a perfect dining experience and that's commendable. The shock factor for this establishment was it's loud and partitions or background music isn't going to change that, so you lose a bit of intimacy. However if it's decent quisine you are looking for you may be in the right spot. The breaded and fried chicken was good and done correctly however the panko was retaining the flavor of the oil rather than it's own. The brussel sprouts were good but honestly it can do without the bacon bits(that were really hard for some reason). Too many minor nuance's for a five star but I believe the potential is there!“

“We have been going to the one twenty three for over 10 years. The food is wonderful and has always been consistent. They have wonderful seafood dishes and appetizers. They have some of the largest shrimp I’ve seen in a shrimp cocktail! The tuna tartare is amazing too! The main courses are delicious and really the best filet mignon I’ve had, better than some steak restaurants. Jeff and family are wonderful hosts! Highly recommended restaurant!“
