It was ok to me. I saw a segment of 2fifty's on the local news for Hispanic Heritage month, so I bookmarked it to try. On the segment, their food looked really good so I was eager to see the hype. I got brisket with a side of coleslaw. To me, the brisket needed some seasoning and I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce that it came with. In addition to the sauce on the side, I had them add spicy sauce on top of the brisket, but I didn't find that spicy at all. No heat, no pepper, no nothing and the coleslaw was not the best I had. It was palatable, but I could have opted for another side. I thought they had good service, and the employees were friendly. I personally wouldn't go back.

I lived in Texas for over 20 years and am well accustomed to Texas bbq, so I knew I had to give 2fifty’s a try. While this isn’t on the level of places like Snows, Terry Black’s, Franklin, or Pecan Lodge, it’s still the best Texas bbq I’ve had in the DMV. The brisket was tender, had the right amount of pull, was well seasoned, and not too fatty. The sausage was good as well, a little less flavor than expected, but honestly tasted along the same lines as what you would get from a place like Kreuz. Make no mistake, this isn’t going to taste like bbq local to the east coast, so if that’s what you’re used to I recommend coming in with an open mind, remembering that across the country bbq styles widely vary, and that even the best bbq joints don’t always have consistent quality (i.e. don’t write it off based on one bad experience).

"Holy Mother of God." This brisket leaves Franklin's in the dust. And I used to live in Austin.

Located in union market I saw brisket and I wanted to try it. I am a brisket lover. Small spot that has a new different options to get a taste of BBQ. The lady that took my order was very helpful and nice, service was really fast. I went the brisket sandwich that came on a poppy seed bun, side of pickles, coleslaw and bbq sauce. I got a side of mac n cheese and a drink. I am more of a lean brisket girl and the brisket was really fatty. The flavor was good and once I put the sandwich together it was decent. The Mac n cheese was way over cooked. The noodles were super mushy. If I wanted BBQ this wouldn't be my first choice.

This is so good. I ordered the brisket sandwich. It was $22 but came with so much meat I wasn't even mad. They serve it with pickles and slaw on the side and a small bbq sauce. The sandwich is on a poppy seed bun. It was honestly the best brisket I've ever had (and I order brisket everywhere). I watched them build it and noticed they combined the sandwich meat with cuts from the thicker and smaller portions of the brisket when slicing so the dryer parts were mixed with the really moist parts. Brilliant. The bbq sauce was heavily seasoned and more on the savory side. I especially think you'd enjoy this brisket if you are a fan of pepper (and even if you aren't like me.) due to the rub on it. I'll absolutely be back!

Ohh my worddd this brisket was the best. So tender and flavorful. We also got sides of Mac and cheese and corn bread. So much food. We now have leftovers. Yummm!

Loved their juicy brisket. Half a pound is more than enough to be satisfied. I also enjoyed their pulled pork. Next time I will order one or the other because it was a lot of meat.

I came here for the brisket and it did not disappoint. Good brisket is difficult to find in DC but this place nails it. I will be back soon.

I’m for Texas and a fellow pit master and this bbq reminded me of Austin, TX. Ribs were very tender and had lots of flavor. The brisket had a great smoke ring, good bark, and passed the pull test. I was very pleased.

While in Union Market, my fiancé and I had bbq from 2fifty's. My fiancé had pulled pork with a side of coleslaw while I had moist brisket with a side of mac n' cheese. All meats came with pickles and onions, bbq sauce, and Texas toast. The meat was tender and pulled apart. The mac and cheese was cheesy and delicious.

Mac and cheese was f*ing amazing. The brisket was delicious especially with their bbq sauce that I drizzled on top. The corn bread was great too. I love the order completely!!! I had the brisket, Mac and cheese, pickles, and corn bread. The slice of bread comes with the dish This order was sooo delicious . It wasn't spicy. It has a small kick at the bbq sauce. For anyone who doesn't it's just as amazing without the bbq sauce. 10 out of 10. The girls at the front were very kind , friendly service and helped me order this great dish that suited me. The location is inside the Union market place and it's very busy but very enjoy location. Outside seating.

The most amazing Texas BBQ this side of the Mississippi. The Brisket is always perfectly smoked, moist flavorful and juicy. Ribs delectable and when the have the Pork Belly do not hesitate, not always on the menu it is a special. That Dino Beef Rib will feed 2-3 people.

Cal or Kel. Idk dudes name. I waited in line for ten minutes with no one in front of me. He proceeded to weigh several handfuls of pulled pork to "see how much he had." Thought it was weird to make a customer wait for administrative tasks. But as more time went by, he finally notified me all they had was sausage left. That's a piece of information you tell a customer immediately (not after waiting for ten minutes). The guy before me ordered pork, so he clearly knew they were low on every item on the menu. After I told him he should have let me know sooner, he brushed the statement off with attitude. This dude clearly doesn't care about customers or have a sense to represent the business well.****In response to the owners response to review. The problem was not that you didn't have any meat. The problem was the 2fiftys associate waited ten minutes to tell me, the only one in line, that you guys were out of most items. All I'm saying is that's something you should tell the customer first, not wasting their time

Brisket is absolutely AMAZING, 2fifty knows how to do texas style brisket right. I asked for an entire point of the brisket to share with my family and friends, Jamie took extra care to wrap it well and everyone enjoyed it once I got home.
