The empanadas here are amazing, they’re not like the rest in DC. They have this incredible croissant flaky dough and the ham and cheese and chorizo are stand out flavors. The ambience of this place is stellar and the staff are kind and caring. Tremendous quality of service.
These are the BEST EMPANADAS EVER!!!!!!!! We travel over an hour to get these. The most delicious!!!! We had the pleasure of meeting the owner today and he graciously gave us another empanada and a dessert to try for no cost.We gobbled the empanadas down, to the very last crumb, literally. The family owned atmosphere and extremely courteous staff is TOP NOTCH!I’d give 10 stars if I could. The BEST!!!

I recommend this place to friends whenever they’re in town. I grew up on empanadas in Miami and couldn’t find something I liked as much in DC until La Buena Empanada! The dough is especially good, and not overly greasy like some empanadas can be. As a bonus, the owner is a very nice guy.
