I lived in Texas for over 20 years and am well accustomed to Texas bbq, so I knew I had to give 2fifty’s a try. While this isn’t on the level of places like Snows, Terry Black’s, Franklin, or Pecan Lodge, it’s still the best Texas bbq I’ve had in the DMV. I’m for Texas and a fellow pit master and this bbq reminded me of Austin, TX. Ribs were very tender and had lots of flavor. The brisket had a great smoke ring, good bark, and passed the pull test. I was very pleased.
Brisket is absolutely AMAZING, 2fifty knows how to do texas style brisket right. I asked for an entire point of the brisket to share with my family and friends, Jamie took extra care to wrap it well and everyone enjoyed it once I got home.
