AKO by KENAKI Reviews
The quality of the fish is superb and everything is so good, next time will take some pictures
My homegirl and I went to dinner here after exploring Union market and had such an amazing time! Our waiter, Cierra, was phenomenal! My Bestie has a seafood allergy and she was so accommodating. She even made a special roll to accommodate her allergy. The food was delicious, the aesthetic was so cozy, and it’s the perfect place to have an intimate dinner with friends and family!
The sushi was fresh and well made, everything came out in a timely manner. Definitely worth the money. No reservations needed, you seat yourself scan the menu/table number and the food is brought to you, everything is paid on the app.

AKO by Kenaki offers innovative and tasty sushi in a food hall setting at The Roost. The restaurant features a variety of sushi options, including specialty rolls like Devil's Kiss and spicy crunchy salmon, which are beautifully presented with a generous amount of pickled ginger and wasabi. The unique spicy crunchy rolls feature whole pieces of fish, and the fresh fish is flown from Japan, Scotland, and other places, ensuring high quality and a non-fishy taste. The sushi is fresh and well made, with textures that impress, even for tougher cuts. The restaurant also caters to different preferences, offering great veggie options and sushi with shrimp and crab meat. The ordering process is done through an app, with delivery to the counter seating, making it convenient and quick. It is only open for lunch on specific days but is worth visiting for those seeking creative flavors in a casual environment. The Devil's Kiss roll includes a fresh Granny Smith apple that adds a delightful touch. The soy served is high quality, and the wasabi tastes like it's been grated from fresh wasabi or horseradish. The place is cozy and perfect for intimate dinners with friends and family, and the staff, including the attentive waiter, is very accommodating. Although slightly pricey, the quality and freshness make it a worthwhile experience, especially for those who enjoy savoring delicate flavors rather than bold, overpowering tastes.
