Very good taste of Ethiopia as far as I know. My first taste of this type of food. It was very good and we really enjoyed the meal. We had injerra bread... interesting and tasty. I am certain that you should give it a try if you are in DC. Do not miss out... your loss.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bread.
The restaurant is gorgeous on the inside. Most of the seating is benches around a table to make the eating experience more communal and easier to share food. You want to share too, because the portions are large and everything was delicious. We had the mixed vegetable platter. It was a showcase of different flavors all beautifully spiced. Service was very hospitable and the owner even checked in on us and thanked us personally for stopping in.

Great food with amazing service. Prices are cheaper then average on food and drinks. I highly recommend the Gaba-Wata for meat lovers.Vegetarian options: All the vegetarian dishes are cooked fresh daily. Quite amazing I recommend the vegetable combo for a traditional mix of different types of vegetarian food.
