Great food! Walked in & Shewit & Yordanos were very welcoming. They allowed me to substitute the injera bread with rice on one order. They allowed me to choose which meats I have on my Axum Platter rather than forcing me to have the menu options. The food was excellent! Fresh, made to order, tasty. Not too spicy and they gave me extra spicy sauce in containers on the side. They also offered me a complimentary cup of traditionally brewed coffee while waiting for my food....

Amazing food, service, and great prices for DC! Idk what time their kitchen closes, but I walked in at 11pm on a Thursday and they were happy to serve me. They were super attentive and gave me everything I asked for. I will definitely be back!

Love this little place. Owner and server were so kind and nice. We live in NJ from Peru and Ukraine. They explain all food , nice experience. Price not bad at all. Loved the Ethiopian beer.
