Baker’s Daughter Reviews
My grandma and I are on vacation, we both loved the bakery online. We walked about 10 minutes to get here, once we were here, the cashiers were acting ugly and rude. My grandma had ordered a sandwich and I got a chocolate croissant, they gave me chocolate on the side and a cold croissant. I was very disappointed with the way we were being treated. We asked for salt and they rolled their eyes and continued to talk about us. I would NOT recommend this.
I absolutely love the sandwich smoked salmon toast with avocado & marinated tomatoes, the best. A lovely ambiance And the caffe’ - spresso is good 😊! Lo raccomando Grazie Marilisa
This place is awesome! We were visiting our daughter last week and stumbled in while walking in Georgetown. We came back three days in a row for a late breakfast early lunch.
Food and service was great!!! Even the sandwich side little salads were great!
A must stop if in Georgetown! ♥️

The Baker's Daughter is a cozy coffee shop and café located in Eaton DC, offering a variety of food and drink options for breakfast and lunch. Popular menu items include the chef sandwich, shakshouka, avocado toast, and salmon avocado open face sandwich. The coffee and tea options are generally satisfactory, although some reviews suggest there is room for improvement in the quality of coffee. Prices are noted to be on the higher side, with one customer mentioning that the toast felt overpriced at $15, especially for a single piece of bread. The café is praised for its delicious pastries and a menu that offers more than just baked goods, making it a good choice for a tasty breakfast or lunch.
The seating area is described as nice and plentiful, though a few reviewers mention limited seating and the possibility of it being crowded, especially in the mornings. The service is efficient, with quick preparation and delivery of food and drinks. Staff are friendly and professional, often remembering regular customers' favorite orders. The café is accessible and wheelchair friendly, making it suitable for adults. However, it may not be the most kid-friendly due to its busy atmosphere and limited menu options for children.
Recent reviews highlight the exceptional coffee quality, with many customers praising the flavors and drinks. One reviewer shared that the baristas take care to remember regulars, adding a personal touch. The atmosphere is described as cozy, making it a good spot to work or study. Some concerns about sustainability are raised, such as the use of disposable cups and utensils. The restaurant has been commended for its food, especially breakfast sandwiches and avocado toast, although some customers note that the toast can be pricey relative to its size.
Recent experiences include a concern about moldy fruit in parfaits, which was promptly addressed by staff, and a positive note about the helpfulness of the team in handling the issue. Overall, The Baker's Daughter is recommended for visitors and passersby looking for good meals, excellent coffee, and a comfortable environment in Eaton DC.
