I came in hoping for a calm moment with my book, coffee, and pastry, but the service made that impossible. It took 15 minutes just to place my order, and soon after I finally got my drink, I was repeatedly asked if I was ready to pay — as if they wanted me to leave. The café wasn’t busy at all, so it didn’t feel justified.

The coffee was great, and the barista who actually served me (not my assigned server) was wonderful. But overall, I left feeling rushed and unwelcome.

Delicious baked goods. Breads, pastries, and cakes. Long time neighborhood establishment. Known for their attention to detail AND taste and presentation. No rush, take your time with coffee and your treats. Invite family and or friends. Whomever you want to spend time with.

Lovely breakfast spot, great service. Highly recommend as long as you're fine with Chevy Chase/DC prices.

I had the salmon and salad. My girlfriend had the big breakfast, I believe, and two cappuccinos. Absolutely delicious place felt warm and friendly.

Absolutely loved it! I got the chocolate banana crepes, and they were delicious. My friends tried an omelet and the salmon eggs Benedict and enjoyed both. Loved the cute atmosphere and the selection of fresh pastries up front as well!

Pastry 🥮 looks good but unfriendly service is so negative☹️😧.

No eye contact with customers shows disrespect.

Definitely not wheelchair accessible despite what the Google wheelchair icon indicates. Inside seating and bathroom are up steps. Food is mediocre considering you can go 20-25 minutes downtown and get really good poached eggs and brunch.

I came in this morning and asked for an iced decaf latte. After I drank about 2/3 of the latte my heart started racing and my hands started shaking, indicating it wasn't decaf. I ask for decaf because caffeine interacts with medication I take, causing increased heart rate, insomnia, anxiety, headaches, etc.

So I had to throw the rest of my drink out, which is a waste. On top of that, it also just didn't taste very good.

Please pay attention to what customers ask for.
