vegan veggie cheese pizza .
best pizza I've had in years.
Until this visit, we had only been getting take out Detroit style pizza from Little Beast. A unique and tasty style of pizza BTW.
On this evening service was off. From not being greeted nor shown to a table through the end of the meal. Attentiveness was lacking. Took a while to get service for drinks and when we ordered food the pizza came out before the appetizer.

Little Beast Café & Bistro in Chevy Chase and Washington, DC serves Detroit-style pizza that is a great find. The pizza is on the smaller side with four pieces, and the crust had a few too many large air bubbles. Every bite is a magical experience, sending diners into pizza heaven. It is the best pizza in DC, Maryland or Virginia. The pizza with the works has brick oven magic. The Mortazza sandwich with a Lil beast lager is highly recommended. The wings are great too, though some reviews note they missed the mark and came out too quickly. The asparagus appetizer is excellent, and the Caesar salad is okay. The Shrimp Salad Roll stands out with a buttery, toasted brioche split top roll. The Blueberry Hibiscus Lemonade and Fresh Lemonade are enjoyable. The Little Beast Salad is a refreshing mix. The bacon smashburger on a pretzel bun is delicious, and the fries are finger-lickin good. The staff is friendly and professional, and the atmosphere is laid-back. Heated seating outside is awesome. Little Beast is definitely worth checking out for a casual lunch or bold, fresh flavors.
