“After a visit to the amazing Go-Go museum we took our appetites and experienced excellent customer service from host, server & Owner. Even with a couple of menu items not being available the food was delicious, decor is relaxing, & welcoming. Owner made a table visit with a smile and great conversation. Look forward to next dining experience. My lemon drop was on point“

“Born and raised in southeast Texas and been here about six months. I’ve been missing Cajun food. We got the catfish poboy with fries, side of beans and rice, and New Orleans BBQ shrimp. Everything hit the mark. The bread and New Orleans shrimp tasted exactly how they should, perfect. Beans were soft and flavorful with shredded meat and sausage in there. Wish the catfish was seasoned a little more but that’s probably just my preference.
Hope to try the beignet fries if they bring them back.“

“Had to do a drive by of this amazing landmark after it's recognition of 60 yrs for hosting amazing music and more in the DMV area.
Did a quick tour of Georgetown to include Duke Ellington School of the Arts (my old HS), as a lot of my peers have performed at Blues Alley.
I will be getting tickets for an upcoming performance!“

“A Soul-Food Gem on Pennsylvania Avenue!
As a foodie who’s always on the hunt for fresh, heartfelt cuisine — especially soul food — my first visit to Miss Toya’s in SE, Washington DC was an absolute delight. Everything from the ambiance to the service to the food hit the mark.
Because for me, a great soul-food experience means more than just good seasoning — it means warmth, genuine hospitality, fresh ingredients, and a place you can bring your loved ones. Miss Toya’s delivered on all fronts. I can’t wait to go back and try even more dishes, explore more of their menu options, and savour everything that struck me so memorably on this first visit.
If you’re looking for a soul-food spot in DC that combines flavor, atmosphere and service with a family-friendly feel, Miss Toya’s is definitely worth the stop.“

“They were short staffed it honestly they never made us feel that way. The food was amazing and the service was just as great. We came here for Labor Day weekend and this wasn’t on our plans but we are so glad we did. Looking forward to coming back again.“

“We went on a Sunday night and the place was packed. One of the best staff and service. We tried their crab dip, bread service (best butter n bread), tosso stuffed chicken, oyster sliders… all of them tasted really great. Quite a big drinks n wine menu. Even has options for non alcohol too. All day happy hour on Sunday too. Will come back again.“
