“Friday night supporting black owned business for my birthday. No expectations, so the experience was top notch. We sampled the menu and had a few drinks. The bartender was on point!!! There was nothing that I wouldn’t recommend. Definitely will be back despite feeling a little seasoned ?? we were the oldest in the place???“

“Took my father here on 6/15 for a Father's Day lunch because the one in Northeast DC is closed, and the service was always great. The hostess/greeter and the food were great at this one, too. The service - not so much.??‍♀️ Specifically, the waiter was terrible to the extent that we informed the hostess/greeter. We were not offered water like others were. We had longer wait times to get our drinks, appetizers, and meals while we saw others in bigger parties who came in after us be served. The person who actually brought our food to the table was more engaging than the server, which says a lot... Even after bringing it to the hostess/greeter's attention, nothing changed. I'm not sure we'll return, which is sad because the food is so good and we like supporting Black-owned businesses...“

“I don’t normally do reviews but I had to this time, so my cousin came from Mexico last week, she doesn’t understand nor speak any English other than the basics, I was parking my car and told her to go ask the cashier for a large fry until I come in, by the time I came in I saw my cousin typing on someone’s phone, it seems that the cashier had gave her own phone to understand what she was saying, this is the second time I came here, last time the other cashier had turned another customer as they don’t speak Spanish but this cashier went out of her way to help her, it made me a little emotional. her hair is big just like her personality! Beautiful soul inside out ? The food was good ? ???? I love the lemon pepp wings here!“

“I’m literally standing here waiting on my food while writing this review. My friend and I came out for ramen and saw this place. They offered us samples and BAY-BEEEE the gumbo, the shrimp and grits are fire!!! The bread pudding…BRUH!!! I love it all! lol Grace, Kim and Oye were awesome!!! Customer service is really great here! I 10/10 recommend!“

“The meal was delicious and our server was great! The only issue we had was when we first came in and we checked in for our reservation. They told us they would sit us shortly, but the host who checked us in stepped away to show another guest their patio. Another couple came in after us and the other host sat them immediately. She then looked at us and asked if we had been helped.“

“My Fiancé and I really enjoyed our evening here. The food was hot and fresh. The prices aren't bad at all. It wasn't crowded and it's in a large space for parties. Our server was knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor, despite him being the hostess as well. He was able to juggle a few tasks and still maintain professionalism. We'll be back!“

“I visited Miss Toya"s Creole on Saturday September 30th. I took my oldest son for his birthday ?. My waitress Hope gave excellent customer service. The food was awesome as always. The manager Imai came to our table numerous times to make sure everything was good. Please go to Miss Toyas in Silver Springs Md the food and customer service will not disappoint you.“

“Paper on the table, mallets, and a tray full of delicious steamed crabs. This is the real deal for Marylanders. My brothers and I live all over the country now, but whenever we come back to visit our folks in Silver Spring, JC Crab House is on our list of "musts" for our Maryland seafood fix. Added bonus? Cindy. She greets us with friendly conversation all the while making sure our meal is perfectly prepared and served.“

“We saw a great jazz quartet at Blues Alley. We also had dinner and a couple of drinks. The food was good, New Orleans style, and the drinks were also good, in addition to decent red wines. The service was very good at table, but the hostess was a little frosty toward us, even though we had reserved tickets and had requested a table with a good view of the performers. We got what we wanted there. Some of the chairs need repair or replacement, and the place could use a bit of a spruce up, but it was clean and kind of what you would expect for a Jazz cellar type venue. Good views in most seats, I would say, but definitely book early so you can get tickets. It sells out regularly, according to the waiter.“

“I visited one day for lunch, and got the shrimp po boy with fries. It was delicious! The cost was reasonable. The shrimp were a good size, seasoned and fried well. The fries were tasty too. I hope they stick around and continue to serve good food at good prices. I'll be back!“

“I’ve been to this establishment over 5 times and I always get the same thing, which is the reels catch. The reels catch includes 1 cluster snow crab, 1 lobster tail, 1 pound of shrimp, and 1 pound of mussels, you can customize it to your liking and include add ons. The atmosphere is great, the service is very attentive, you will be offered gloves and a plastic apron in order to minimize the amount of sauce covering your hands afterwards but honestly I have no complaints. However, for my own personal taste I’ve learned that I’m not a big fan of crawfish and this establishment still refunded me my money for the amount I was charged for the crawfish. Which shows that they do care about their customers.“

“This place was surprisingly great!!! They recently were bought by a new owner and he has halal beef for the steak and cheese sandwich. Absolutely did not disappoint. The sweet potato fries and the seasoned fries were off the chain too. I’m sure the seafood is fire but I don’t eat sea food. I highly recommend checking them out.The half and half tea was fire too. “Their food is freshly cook every time I get it. I love their crispy Cajun shrimp. It is super crispy outside and the shrimp inside is just right and tasty! Their honey/orange chicken is also good. Bourbon chicken is the must try! For sides, I usually get their broccoli( heathy lol) and their Mac and cheese!Recommend this store to everyone!“

“What a nice meal! We ordered our meal to go and it took about a half hour to prepare. I got the Ocean Catch #A, which came in a big plastic bag! Perfectly cooked crab legs and shrimp and the seafood legend sauce was very tasty - it tasted like a mix of Cajun seasoning, garlic and butter. I got the mild spice level, which was flavorful but not hot. The potato and corn that it came with were also good. The seafood catches and boils seen to be the specialty and mine was worth the money. My husband's salmon was good but unexciting and would have benefited from some of the same seasoning as mine. It was also a small portion for the price. However, his New England clam chowder was thick and flavorful. My five year old had the fried white fish and seemed content with it. Although we did not eat in the restaurant, it was well decorated and looked inviting - hopefully I will be able to eat there in person soon! On a side note, they also have bubble tea, which was delicious!“

“One of the best tasting seafood boils I've had in awhile! Lots of options and great service. Unfortunately there's a lot of plastic and waste for each dine in table since they bring each seafood option out in their own bags and all the utensils and tablecloths are disposable.“

The exceptional customer service, coupled with food cooked from scratch, made our brunch visit with a large party quite memorable. Our waiter, Cathy, provided attentive service, ensuring our needs were met throughout the meal. We indulged in a variety of brunch items, with favorites including the catfish nuggets and cornbread, alongside lamb chops(small lamb chops), deviled eggs, and fried tomatoes. For our entrees, the shrimp omelette, French toast, chicken and waffles, and catfish and grits were all exquisite. Despite a few minor mishaps, the overall experience was delightful, and I highly recommend this establishment for its delicious food. It was a nice touch when the chef personally greeted our table, adding to the warmth of the experience. Advisable to book your reservation in advance, I look forward to returning in the future.“

“worst service ever. My family and I actually had to walk out and we were a group of 10. They did not want to serve us and I was told I should of made reservations. I watched the waitress/server clean other people’s table and completely ignore us. A customer who was a regular had to wipe down my table for us (I should’ve walked out then )but we drove an hour to come here And we were trying to just deal with the poor customer service so we can eat. Customers that were seated after us were able to order before us and receive their food. when we finally had the opportunity to order food we were told that they were out of oxtails pork and fish which made no sense because people were still ordering takeout for the same items we were trying to order.. You would think we were sitting there for free meals. The waitress told me she was going to the back to check to see what they have but when she came back she went to the bar area and started taking someone else’s orders and completely ignored us .We ended up walking out with no apology given. She Just looked at us as if she was happy to see us go because she couldn’t handle a table size of 10 people. All we were trying to do was support our Haitians. Its a shame we were treated so poorly. I suggested this restaurant to my family who drove an hour to be treated so poorly .Do not visit this restaurant“
