Canopy Central Café & Bar offers an exceptional brunch experience with their standout dish, the chicken and waffles. Without a doubt, it's the highlight of their menu. We also tried the tacos, but they couldn't hold a candle to the deliciousness of the chicken and waffles. The restaurant boasts spectacular views of the Warf, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to experience. The atmosphere is lovely and casual, perfect for a leisurely brunch. However, I felt that it could benefit from some background music to enhance the ambiance. What truly sets Canopy Central apart is their outstanding service. The server and hostess went above and beyond to accommodate our group, which unexpectedly grew from 5 to 8 people during brunch. The server was especially kind and even took special care of my little kid, which we greatly appreciated. Overall, we had an amazing time at Canopy Central Café & Bar, and we'll definitely be returning for the stellar service we received. If you're looking for a great meal with a fantastic view and top-notch service, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

The check in process is always great! I feel like I'm at home with family! Thanks for always making me feel welcomed! I would give it 5 Stars no doubt! So, for starters, I have become familiar with the staff and I would like to give a special shout out to Antonio & Abby at the front desk. I would like to give a shout out to the Assistant Manager of the Restaurant and Ms Emma who is always so sweet! Oh, I can't forget Dre who always makes the best drinks and the pizza guys...you all are the best. The next time I arrive, I'll remember their names. Btw...you have to check out the Happy Hour! The drinks were amazing and the drinks are always on point. Now, let's get into the food, I always get a pepperoni pizza and for breakfast, I usually get the bacon egg and cheese sandwich. It's SO yummy!! Well it's time to depart, so until next time...Cheers!

We were so surprised to find this gem in a hotel on the wharf! My husband especially loved it because we got delicious full-on brunch food in a much more relaxed atmosphere than a lot of DC brunch places. We were at a table by the windows looking out over the water, and had a really lovely meal.

Looking for a brunch place on the waterfront and we chose Canopy because the menu looked good and we wanted a nice view. Got there and wasn't aware that this was the Hilton's hotel cafe. Wasn't what we expected and a bit disappointed but was hungry and it was a nice view and not crowded, so decided to stay. The service was good, but was pleasantly surprised that the Mimosas and the food were all very good. Great presentation and very well seasoned and cooked perfectly. I would definitely go back. Also, seemed they easily accommodated a big party, I would recommend. It wasn't particularly fancy but the service was very pleasant the space itself was very nice and a great way to sit and look out over the Potomac while having Sunday Brunch.

The ambiance is perfect for a relaxing afternoon lunch. The food is tasty: the shrimp and grits are good and the short rib fried rice is absolutely delicious. The service is excellent and the staff is very personable. The location is great for watching the happenings along the Wharf. I will return.

The restaurant was nearly empty and we could barely get service. We had to walk to the hostess station to get our check. A major part of their menu is pizza, and they had no pizza available.

Went here recently with our young kid, and the dinner and view were really nice. Service was incredible, and the food was amazing! Highly recommend the poke nachos and birria fries especially. I'd definitely recommend coming here for a nice meal, and it looks like the balcony and doors open in nicer weather. We'll be back in warmer weather for sure.

Canopy is my favorite restaurant in the SW Waterfront. I love the view of the Potomac, the staff and the food! The food is always flavorful and the right temperature. The staff is very friendly all the time. I highly recommend The Canopy restaurant for a delicious brunch, lunch, dinner or just for a place to go for cocktail!

We stayed at this Canopy a few weeks ago, and it was okay. The three stars are really just for the location - really convenient if you're going to be doing things in the Wharf/Navy Yard area - and the room itself (modern and clean). A few things weren't as great. We had a hard time with the key pad at the elevators (you need your room key to go up and down in the elevator, and they key pad fought us during our stay). I paid a teensy bit extra for a "marina view," which you could only enjoy by putting your forehead to the windows and peering to the left (we really had a "hotel view" of the hotel next door). Overall, not a bad place to stay. Just nothing special either, in my opinion.

The restaurant impresses with an outstanding burger: juicy, perfectly seasoned meat and fresh ingredients make it a culinary highlight. The friendly service and pleasant atmosphere round off the positive overall picture. Clear recommendation for burger lovers. The pizza ? is also great!

Seating was not ideal- we were originally placed at a long table that sat 8- directly next to two other parties of two. Thankfully the host moved us to our own table of 4 before we were even greeted by a server. It was uncomfortable sitting so close to another party with no separation. The kids enjoyed their meals of burgers, wings, and fries. My husband ordered the salmon which was overcooked. I ordered the tuna poke nachos (appetizer) as my meal. For $22 it was a joke- the amount of tuna was pathetic. There was far more sauce than anything else. Thankfully the wonton chips and avocado were still tasty. The description should read saucy chips with a tuna garnish. My husband ordered an iced tea which for some reason was $6 while my teenager kids' sodas were $3?!?! It wasn't the worst experience or meal we've ever had, but we were left with no reason to return. With so many other options for dining in the area, I encourage other diners to look elsewhere.

Beautiful, peaceful spot right on the river. The food was absolutely delicious and picture perfect. Fresh and tasty! Service was amazing and prompt. Drinks were strong and pleasantly different yet classic. The view is spectacular!

Sometimes, you just need a staycation! Actually, we were here for a concert at the Anthem and didn't want to make the hour drive home. This is a cute hotel! Okay, I see you Hilton. I dig the Canopy vibe. The Wharf itself is quite busy so figuring out 1) where exactly the hotel lies and 2) how to check in is a bit of a feat. Parking in the area is busy, so I opted to valet ($65). However, it took me some time to figure out how to check in. You'll have to take the elevator or stairs to the second floor. The elevator is a bit tricky so your best bet is the stairs. AND, you wont be able to go from the ground level up to your room without changing elevators. That part was a bit of a pain. Hotel employees were courteous. I'm an Honors member and used my digital key, but wanted some waters. This hotel does not do that as they supply water on each floor. It's pretty cool how it works. In your room you'll have a glass bottle (similar to that old school milk bottle) you can take down the hall to fill with filtered water. That's where you'll also find the ice maker and a microwave. Once up in the room I was pleasantly surprised. The bed was plush and there was also a lounging chair/chaise lounge with a little table. The room is very functional. The open closet/hanging rack also doubles as a valet for your suitcase. There's a fridge, safe, and nespresso coffee maker. YES! The main aggravation was the water pressure in the sink. It's WEAK!!!! Even with both hot & cold water running. Ugh! Don't fret tho, the shower pressure was fine. We hit the bar and enjoyed some cocktails and FRESH hot fries. We also hit the gym one morning. They have screens, there's a big TV, and there are towels. No headphones though, so bring your own. Oh, and they have bikes! You can check them out and ride through the city. It's a cute hotel. You'll pay for the location and the view, but sometimes you just gotta live! Check it out.

We don’t get down to the wharf much but wanted to find a place that had good food, service, views and was close to the Anthem.Canopy Central Cafe at the Hilton literally hit all the marks and it will now be our go-to whenever we are going to a show. The dining room is on the second level of the hotel and overlooks the water. Our host, Dagim and waiter Dayton were top notch when it comes to food service.Dagim had actually answered my call prior to arriving and was super friendly and answered all my questions regarding parking/reservations etc.I had read reviews on Yelp before arriving and someone said to ask for Eddie to make your pizza. I did ask Dagim as he was seating us if Eddie was working today and he said he was working but wasn’t in that part of the restaurant today (they have another restaurant on-site - Whiskey Charlie). I was a little bummed but he assured me the chef on staff making pizza that evening was also fantastic. To my surprise about 10 minutes later, Dagim let me know he was able to borrow Eddie to come down and specially make our pizza!!!!Dayton was just as kind and friendly as our waiter. I can’t say enough good things about our experience with the service, but also need to mention how incredible the PIZZA AND BIRRIA FRIES WERE! My husband and I were floored and the quality of this food and can’t wait to return when we have more time and aren’t rushing to a show to try some of the other offerings. And I can’t forget to mention how CHEAP the draft beers were for this area! $6 IPAs and it wasn’t even happy hour. Wow!So Dagim, Dayton and of course EDDIE - thank you so much for making our night out so special.

I have a gluten allergy, and this place is not gluten free friendly at all. That isn't a huge problem in itself, but my friend and I went in and inquired what the options were for me. There was very little I could eat, but what was very disappointing is the staff told me what I ended up ordering was gluten free when it wasn't. I had to send it back, and while the staff was very apologetic and did not charge me for it, it was just not a good feeling when we made the choice to eat there thinking I could eat this dish. I just would really recommend either offering more options for people with dietary restrictions and educating your staff on what is contained in your dishes.
