Wait staff was kind and attentive, offered detailed recommendations when we didn’t know what to order. Food and drinks were great. We ordered the combo #6 which i recommend if you eat meat and want to try a little of everything.

From the moment I stepped into Dukem, I felt like I was walking into someone’s home not just a restaurant. Gardew, the owner, greeted me with such warmth and sincerity that it stopped me in my tracks. It wasn’t the kind of welcome you get at a typical business it was the kind that makes you feel like family, like you belong there.

A staple of my childhood growing up in DC. Where my love for Ethiopian food started and continues to this day. The staff is wonderful. The food delicious. Long live Dukem.
