I was really looking forward to the infamous Federalist Pig. I went during the week around 7pm. Half of the menu options were 86, but I was still able to try the pork shoulder and chopped brisket. Both proteins was on the dryer side with only subtle smoke. I also had the baked beans and chili Mac. The chili Mac was pretty tasty and I never had anything like it before, the beans on the other hand tasted like pintos from a Mexican restaurant. The oxtail empanadas stole the show,...
A friend found this place on TikTok me being a foodie. I was completely taken and had to try it. Let's just say it dud not disapoint. The staff were friendly, courteous and kind. So many delicious options to choose from my friend and I ordered two meals each one for now and one for later. They also provide you with a variety of Bar B.Q. sauces (the North Carolina mustard is finger licking good). I would definitely be visiting again to try more menu items.
Got the vegetarian bahn mi sandwich. Best sandwich in all of DMV, full stop. Fries were so-so, but that sandwich was so good I could give a rat’s behind about the fries. Place has a nice vibe, too.
