A good place to drop by if you are in Georgetown. There may be lines in daytime, but you never have to wait that long. Peanut butter flavored cupcakes are definitely my favorite:) Not many seats available, though.
Amazing cupcakes and service. We were able to get in and out within minutes because of a storm that was coming through. Also able to find a parking spot quickly as well. Will stop here again.
Got my order wrong. Still got a perfect cupcake. Literally every cupcake they have is good.
Trying new flavors is one of my favorite kinds of fun—
and it’s a kind of adventure anyone can have.
My daughter and I love doing little taste tests together.
This time, we stopped at Georgetown Cupcake in Washington, DC
and picked three flavors we’d never tried before.
Each bite was a surprise—
unexpected, playful, and honestly… delicious.
Moments like these remind me that joy doesn’t have to be big or loud.
Sometimes it’s just about slowing down, sharing something sweet,
and letting your curiosity lead the way.

Do you ever treat yourself to new flavors, just for the fun of it?

The cupcakes are good, and the cashiers are usually very friendly and patient. However, the staff serving and packing the cupcakes don’t seem as approachable—they often appear stressed, don’t smile, and are quite serious. Today (midday on July 6, 2025), I ordered a gluten-free strawberry, a banana split, and a carrot vegan cupcake. When I asked if the box in front of me was my order, the girl arranging my order didn’t let me finish my question or check the box—she just nodded without saying anything. When I got home, I realized the order was wrong. I only received two cupcakes, and the carrot one was missing (hopefully they can be accountable and realize that they didn't serve that one even though they charged me for it). It’s frustrating, especially when the service feels rushed and unwelcoming, which makes it uncomfortable to even ask them to double-check.
Coffee and cupcakes are delicious!

Good cupcakes, but long line.
Hyped and pricy. They should make some with zero synthetic additives, dyes, flavors. With real food ingredients only ..then its worth it. Store is cute and colorful.

Georgetown Cupcakes offers a wide variety of cupcake flavors. I’ve never visited where I didn’t have at least a 20 minute wait. It’s disappointing to stand in line for so long to discover that they only offer 1 gluten free option. Today the only GF option was chocolate lava. It’s unfortunate that they won’t offer a second GF vanilla cupcake option.
Dietary restrictions: One gluten free cupcake option

It's fine. The edges around the top were a little dry, but the sugar cookie cupcake was delicious. Had bits of sugar cookie inside to nail the flavor. Great variety, wish I had time to try more.

Placed 2 orders and confirmed delivery twice after proceeding with the order. No email responses and 60 minute hold before calls disconnected. Never had issues with previous orders.
Hope my refund comes quickly!!
